Jump into the world of IP surveillance with our video recorders
It’s no secret that the time is right to switch from analog to digital video processing. However, many businesses have made large investments in analog cameras and other surveillance equipment. That’s why we’ve designed our line of DVRs to work in concert with your current products. SymSuite makes your move to digital as seamless and efficient as possible, as SymDVRs accept both digital and analog video inputs. Our line of DVRs allows customers to send digital video and control data across any IP network – the same kind of network your computers use. This allows customers to observe video virtually everywhere around the globe. That’s music to the ears of your security and IT staff.
Six reasons why now is the time for our digital video recorders 1. Look out for your business no matter where you are As long as you have Internet access, you can watch streaming video from any camera in your network. You can also search for and retrieve recorded images from any networked digital recorder or server. 2. Digital networks keep your security system secure Analog video signals are easily compromised by eaves-droppers or hackers. But digital video signals are encoded as they travel over your network, making them much less susceptible to tampering. You can also assign access privileges to control who accesses your cameras and recorders. 3. Scalability ensures you’re never left behind One camera. Ten cameras. Hundreds of cameras. It makes no difference. Expanding your system becomes as easy as adding a new node to your network. 4. We provide the highest quality and reliability While most competitors use VGA or even lower resolution, our DVR relies on higherquality 4CIF or even D1 resolution. 5. “Hybrid” technology allows for graceful transitions TVR 60 works with your existing components – analog or digital. We make it easy for users with analog components to begin using an IP security system. 6. Moving to IP security makes financial sense Making the transition to an IP-based security system is a sound investment. IP networks involve less installation time, and they require fewer personnel to operate. And with our SymNet encoder-decoders, you can keep your existing cameras and monitors.

These recorders are bridging the analog and digital worlds Overview SymSafe™ delivers “hybrid” recording that works with any analog security camera as well as our IP network products. This unique platform provides a migration path to IP recording and at the same time allows continued use of existing analog equipment. Technology The SymSafe family of MPEG-4 Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) is a versatile workhorse. Feature rich and designed for ease-of-use, this DVR family extends the SymSuite™ family video solution. Used as a stand-alone DVR or as part of a networked video solution, SymSafe delivers real-time video recording up to 450 fps PAL (480 fps NTSC) at 2CIF resolution (704 x 288 PAL and 704 x 240 NTSC). Interconnectivity Our software allows viewing of live and recorded video from multiple SymSafe and SymSafe Pro units. Available in 4, 8, and 16 analog channel models, each SymSafe model also records up to two IP streams. It’s easy to network and view images from the DVRs via 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet. Use Dynamic Domain Name Server (DDNS) for access through an easy-toremember name instead of an IP address. Programming is easy, and the remote software provides many options to view live and previously recorded video or to configure the SymSafe. SymSafe™ Pro The SymSafe Pro model delivers up to 450 fps at 2CIF and 225 fps at D1 resolution. It also offers export of the log data, motion search and protect on alarm, as well as up to 10 users and 30 macros. It also offers two synchronized real-time audio channels.

Bridges gap from analog to digital video recording Overview SymDec 16 plus 4 uses “hybrid” recording that works with both conventional analog cameras and the new family of our digital network products. This unique platform provides a graceful migration path to digital recording – the future of video recording – and at the same time allows continued use of existing analog equipment. Technology Using MPEG-4 compression for small but high-quality files, SymDec 16 plus 4 records at 25 frames in PAL and 30 in NTSC per second, per channel – all at D1 resolution (720 x 576 PAL and 720 x 540 NTSC). SymDec 16 plus 4 incorporates popular features from our SymDec recorder line: Triplex functionality for simultaneous viewing, playback, and recording of video; full search capabilities by time, date, motion, and alarms; and alarm handling with a history log and alarm notification via e-mail. Interconnectivity Our software allows viewing of live and recorded video from multiple SymDec16 units. It’s easy to network and view images from the DVRs via 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet. With intrusion, access control, fire alarms and Video integration in one platform for 7/24/365 effective security, the advisor MASTER is flexible to meet your specific needs, and is designed to expand as your security needs grow. In addition, the advisor MASTER family is the first security system that uses a common hardware and software platform across Europe. And that’s security you can feel secure about. Event-triggered video You can move up to four PTZ (pan tilt zoom) cameras into pre-set positions in response to specific door/reader transactions and/or alarm transactions. This event-triggered function can be used, for example, to obtain a video image at a door if someone attempts entry using a badge that has been identified as ‘lost’, or if an alarm is generated. In addition, a tag can be automatically sent to the DVR for marking the recorded video and for changing the camera’s recording rate appropriately. The system can also be setup so that operators only need to focus on the items that require their attention. Alarm monitor The alarm monitor displays any alarm that occurs in your system. It provides all necessary information to respond to alarms, including links to floor plans and Video devices. Alarm Graphics Viewer (Maps) Create maps of your premises/site that graphically show the physical location of devices such as doors, alarm detectors, and cameras. You can then quickly and easily see the conditions of the devices (Trouble, Alarm, Reset) as well as control them, such as open a door or set an area. Easily assigned access rights You can define who will use the security system and assign them access rights. A group of people who share the same set of access rights, such as “Office Staff”, can be defined under a single user profile. Flexible badges With the ATS 8300 a badge can be a physical device, a number entered at a keypad, or both. So you can use smart cards, key fobs, magnetic stripe cards, PINs, as well as a combination of card and PIN. The choice is yours.
