To maintain optimum performance: Do not use unit in places which are extremely hot, cold, dusty or high humidity place. Do not use or keep the unit in following places. Note no listening with the earphones listen at moderate volumes to avoid hearing damage. Do not wear the earphones while driving or cycling. It may create a traffic hazard. You should use extreme caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations such as walking, Jogging, etc. If you hear no sound, DO NOT turn the volume up high because the music could suddenly begin at high volume. To avoid hurting your ears or damaging the headphones turn the volume control to the lowest level before starting playback and slowly turn it up to the desired level.

Press and hold the MODE/FILE 1 key to switch between Voice mode and music mode. In voice mode,voice can be recorded by mono microphone/2 microphone/Audio input. In music mode, MP3 music can be playback. To listen to MP3 music, see page 12.

SELECT RECORDING SOURCE In voice mode, press MENU 1 key to enter into setting menu.Just press PLAY/STOP 2 key to select Record Setting.Select Input setting by DOWN 3 key and press PLAY/STOP 2 key. Select Microphone/2 microphone/Audio input by UP/ DOWN 3 key and press PLAY/STOP 2 to
confirm.
ADJUST THE VOLUME To adjust the volume, while in the Voice mode or during the playback of a file, press UP/DOWN 2 key; the volume number will increase or decrease to indicate the volume level by pressing PRE/FWD 3 key(i.e. “ 0 ” is minimum and “ 31 ” is maximum )
SELECT RECORDING QUALITY In voice mode, press MENU 1 key to enter into setting menu. Just press PLAY/STOP 2 key to select Record Setting Press PLAY/STOP 2 key to select Record type. Select HP/MP/SP/LP by UP/DOWN 3 key and press PLAY/STOP 2 key to confirm.
NOTE: Replace batteries don’t affect messages or files stored on unit. But the time and date may need reset if the unit out of power more than 1 minute.
SELECT A FILE FOLDER
In Voice mode,this unit has four memory storage areas (file folders) to choose from, labeled A,B,C,D. You can store a total of 396 messages in all the file folders. The limit for each file folder is 99 messages.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS Please follow below advices while handle batteries: 1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.

TO REPEATEDLY PLAYBACK MESSAGES You can set the unit to repeat one, repeat all within a folder or repeat all folders.
Voice activated recording will allow dictation only when you speak. When the unit detects a pause of a few seconds, it will temporarily stop recording until it detects sound again. 1

While playing back a message, press MENU 1 key.Press PLAY/STOP 2 key to select REPEAT.
Press the REC/STOP key and the REC indicator will light and the elapsed time will appear. Speak into the built-in microphone or insert a microphone into the Audio-input jack. When the unit picks up sound, it will record. When not recording, the REC indicator will blink and elapsed time will stop running. Press the REC/STOP key again to stop recording.
Select Repeat One /Folder by UP 3 /DOWN 4 key. Press PLAY/STOP 2 key to confirm.
You can set the unit to repeat one,playback all within a folder . For Repeat One 1 ,the message playback with repeat over and over until the PLAY/ STOP key is pressed. For Folder D , all the message in the selected folder will one time playback.
NOTES: - The first few sounds activate the recorder and many not be recorded. - A variation in voice level during recording will not stop the unit, two seconds of silence is required to stop the recording. - For constant recording, see previous page. - To pause, press the PAUSE key. - The built-in audio level automatically sets the recording level. - For normal voice levels, a distance of 5-9 inches is appropriate.

EARPHONE JACK For private listening, connect an earphone to EARPHONE jack. The speaker will automatically disconnect when an earphone plug inserted into EARPHONE jack.

While in the Voice mode ,select the desired folder using the MODE/FILE 1 key . Select the desired message to delete by using the REV 2 or FWD 3 key. The message number and the message length will appear in the display.

Press the MENU key and then select Delete file by using UP 5 /DOWN 4 key and then press PLAY/STOP 6 key to confirm. Use REV 2 /FWD 3 key to change from No toYES. Press PLAY/STOP 6 key to confirm to delete the selected file.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE RESETTING THE UNIT If the unit is exposed to a strong static electrical charge, the unit may lock up,or the display may dim. This is very rare, but if it does happen, remove the batteries and then reinstall. All settings will return to their preset values, but the previous messages are saved. It may createa traffic hazard and is illegal in many areas. .Even if your earphone is an open air type designed to let you hear outside sounds, do not turn the volume up so high that you cannot hear what is around you. .Use extreme caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations. CARE .Keep the unit dry. If it gets wet, wipe it immediately. Liquids may contain minerals that can corrode the circuits. .Use and store the unit only in normal temperature environments. Extreme temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices, damage batteries and/or melt plastic parts. . Keep the unit away from dirt and dust. .Handle the unit gently and carefully. Dropping it can cause damage and may cause the unit to work improperly . .To clean, wipe the unit with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
