The following guidelines describe good maintenance practices. Not every circumstance is covered by the guidelines, so it is necessary to operate DIVER only in the recommended environment, to prevent injury or damage. Always: • Keep DIVER in sight at all times when operating, to prevent injury to people or animals or damage to property. • Periodically examine DIVER to prevent potential hazards. In the event of damage, do not use DIVER until it can be replaced or repaired. • Place DIVER on suitable surfaces. Although DIVER can be used on a variety of surfaces, it performs best on smooth, flat and hard surfaces. 38 Troubleshooting 05 I can’t get the remote controller or app communication (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi camera) to work 1. Wireless communication may not function properly if there is insufficient power supply. Please check the power supply. 2. Please check the APP is up to date. DIVER keeps hitting obstacles in mode 2. 1. The obstacle is too small. The obstacle avoidance sensors can only detect 3 points in the front of the DIVER, so if the obstacle is too small to be detected by the sensors, the DIVER might hit it. 2. The obstacle’s color is too dark. The obstacle avoidance sensors are IR sensors that detect reflected light to detect obstacles, so if the obstacle’s color is too dark to reflect IR light, DIVER might hit it. DIVER cannot follow the line. 1. The calibration motion is not correct. The DIVER calibrates the sensor value of the line tracking sensors at the beginning of the line tracking mode, so please put the DIVER on the line as soon as it is in line tracking mode. 2. The line does not contrast sufficiently with the surroundings. The line detection sensors use the reflected light of the LEDs to detect the line. If the line does not contrast sufficiently with the surroundings, the sensors cannot detect the difference between the line and the surroundings. Please ensure the line contrasts sufficiently with the surroundings. 3. DIVER is stuck or making strange noises while walking. Please check the rear wheel ball for foreign objects and clean it with a wet cloth or brush. NOTE: Mode 3 line tracking should be used indoors as bright lights (e.g. sunlight) can affect its accuracy. DIVER keeps saying “I’m hungry!!” and won’t do any other actions. 1. The battery is low. The battery is lower than recommended operational voltage, please change the battery. DIVER is idle or both wheels are spinning at different speeds while walking. 39 1. Please check if the floor is level. 05 Troubleshooting DIVER is not making any sounds. 1. Please check if the memory card has been inserted properly. See “Installing MicroSD Cards” on page 14. 2. Music files in the memory card must be in .WAV format and given a name using 4 digits. See “Customizing the Music” on page 21. ALERT popup shows in APP. 1. Patrol mode requires connection to the DIVER Wi-Fi Camera. Please confirm that your cellphone Wi-Fi has been set to “XYZrobot-W01” connection. Loading Music popup shows in APP. 1. This is normal behavior. The “Loading Music…” popup will show when you enter the page. Music files in the memory card’s root directory will affect file reading times. 40 Specifications Description Power, Mode DC jack x 1, micro USB x 1, microSD slot x 1 ATmega1280 640 x 480 MicroSD (4 GB) 2Wx1 IR sensor x 3, light sensor x 3 Bluetooth 4.0 IEEE 802.11b/g/n AA alkaline battery (1.5V) x 8 12 V / 2 A (Optional) iOS, Android 198 x 153 x 248 mm (7.8 x 6.02 x 9.76 in.) 1 kg (2.2 lbs) 41 Item Button I/O MCU Camera Storage Speaker Sensor Bluetooth Wifi Battery Power Supply APP Compatibility Dimension (W x D x H) Weight 06 07 Warranty Thank you for supporting XYZprinting Inc.
