DLAINST DATE: 16/08/2012 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS DUX ASSIST LIFE STYLE TOILET SUITE CODE: DLASSIST The Dux Assist Life Style Toilet Suite has been created using the vitreous china Civic cistern, link and seat in combination with the new Assist raised height pan. This suite has a shrouded/hidden waste outlet and flush pipe which makes it the ideal solution for homes where a higher seating level would be required. The shrouded pan is suitable for an S trap configuration only. PAN INSTALLATION STEPS 1. Inspect the pan, cistern and seat for any transit damage prior to starting the installation. If damage or faulty do not install, contact your supplier. 2. Check site roughing in, water supply position and assembly dimensions before commencing installation. The WC must be installed on a level surface. 3. The WC can be installed by setting in a mortar bed or using the provided floor fixings A & B. (For commercial and disable applications it is recommended to use floor fixing instead of mortar bed). 4. For mortar bedding use a 4:1 sand and standard cement mix, (do not use a rapid hardening or white cement). If the floor is tiled, cut out the tiles beneath the pan to create a good bonding surface. 5. When using the fixing bracket a waterproof sealant should be applied to the pan base before locating it in the correct position. Always use protective plastic bushes with the fixing screws. Do not over tighten the screws. 6. Use the drawings on the next page to locate the positions of the floor fixings. In all installations take care to ensure that the pan connector is correctly sealed to the pan outlet spigot. Flush Pipe Connector CISTERN INSTALLATION STEPS 1. Fit the cistern to the wall using the screws/plugs provided. The base of the cistern should be 60mm above the installed height of the WC pan. 2. Check that the inlet and outlet valve securing nuts are firmly tightened to prevent leaks, do not over-tighten. 3. Cut the flush pipe to suit the installation ensuring it extends 25mm into the water inlet socket of the WC. 4. Assemble the flush pipe connector, cap nut and wedge seal onto the pipe and install. 5. Loosely fit the seat into position, fit the link piece by pushing it firmly onto the threaded section of the outlet valve. Measure the correct length of the link piece so that it inserts into the slot at the back of the seat. Remove and cut the link then refit together with the seat. WATER CONNECTION 1. Always flush the water supply pipes before connecting the cistern inlet valve. 2. Fill the cistern and check the water level. 3. Test flush while observing for leaks. OUTLET VALVE ADJUSTMENT HALF FLOAT CUP: Setting at No. O FULL FLUSH ADJUSTER: Setting at No. 9
