DMHD01R Congratulations on your purchase of the DMHD01R This ‘state of the art’ product is an HD encoder. Audio and video is taken from the HDMI input compressed into H264 video and AAC or MPEG audio. The output is configured as DVB-T transport stream. An HDMI loop through is featured for a local TV set connection and IR control included enabling the source to be controlled from the remote location. This device can be suitable for digital signage applications via the on-board USB based record/playback facility. Stand alone configuration is made easy through 4 tactile switches and ergonomic menu’s. DMHD01R 1 SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS 1.1 Connecting to the mains supply This product has to be connected to a 12v mains supply using the supplied power adaptor. If there is the slightest doubt concerning the type of connection available on the installation, please contact your supplier of electricity. Before carrying out maintenance operation or modification of the installation, the modulator must be disconnected. Only use the power adaptor supplied. 1.2 Over Voltage An over voltage on the mains supply can cause short circuits or risk of fire. Never overload the power cables. 1.3 Liquids This product should be protected from liquid splashes and moisture. Please check that no containers containing liquids are placed on or near this item. 1.4 Cleaning Disconnect the product before cleaning. Use only a damp cloth and never use solvents. 1.5 Ventilation In order to assure an adequate air circulation and to prevent overheating, the ventilation holes should never be obstructed. The product should not be installed in a hermetically sealed environment. Other electronic products or heat producing items should not be placed on or near the product. 1.6 Accessories The use of third party accessories could cause damage to this product. Only use Antiference recommended products. 1.7 Installation of the modulator. This modulator should be installed in a place well protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not install near heating elements or other devices producing heat. Check that the modulator is placed at least 10 cm from any other equipment that is susceptible to electromagnetic radiation. Do not place or install the modulator on any unstable items, a fall could cause physical or material damage.

DMHD01R 3 - Installation and menu structure 3.1 - Installation Please find a typical connection and installation layout for the DMHD01R
IR Control The IR function enables the user to control the source device from a remote location over the coax cable network. This is achieved with a by-pass distribution amplifier such as Antiference Remotelink or 75 series amps and Antiference magic eyes (ME200) 3.1 Powering Up Plug in the connector of the power supply. The display will show the CONEXER logo while booting. Once the modulator has booted correctly the main menu will appear. In the first line the model number is displayed (DMHD01R) followed by the installed firmware version followed by the date and time.

DMHD01R 3.2 - Menu Structure The DMHD01R has different menus allowing easy access to the different parameters and to change them when necessary. Below you will find the structure of the different menus:
Menu Selection: In order to scroll from one menu to another, use the move up/down ( and ) buttons to select your required option. Press the enter ( ) button to select your choice. Press the cancel (X) button to go back to the previous menu. Menu Editing: Where available within certain menu options, you can edit values to suit your required parameters. Use the and buttons to move to the desired character and press the enter ( ) button to confirm. Please note the following special characters:

• Select the STOP command to cease recording or playing.
4.4 The Clock menu The battery contained within the module automatically retains the date and time in the memory.

4.6 The Default Configuration settings menu Select this to return to original Factory Settings. Please note that ALL modifications will be lost.
5 - Programming using a PC The settings of the DMHD01R can also be changed using a PC. First, please install the software DMHDiFace on your PC. You can download this software from our internet site: http://antiference.co.uk/product/conexer-single-hd-dvb-t-modulators/ Please select ‘Downloads’ to commence download. After installation of this software, connect the DMHD01R using a USB cable (not included) to your personal computer. Then launch the program DMHDiFace. On the display of the DMHD01R the message appears, indicating that the programming is now performed through your PC. All parameters previously explained in section 4 manually programmed on the modulator can now be modified and edited on a PC using the DMHDiFace software.

DMHD01R 6 Making Play and Recording Lists using DMHDiFace With the combined ability of Recording and Play functions and an internal clock using a USB 3.0 memory stick, the DMHD01R is an ideal product for use in Digital Signage applications. Different ‘.ts’ files stored on the memory stick can be played over your DVB-T network programmed to perform at set times and days of the week.
6.1 Direct Play and Record 1.
Select a file from the drop down list of files available on the USB memory stick and press the blue button

Create a ‘.ts’ file in DMHDiFace and press red button to record.

Press black button to end playing or stop recording.
Please note: ‘.ts’ files can only be played over a DVBT network and NOT to the HDMI out.
6.2 Making a Play List 1.
Select an available ‘.ts’ file from the memory stick:

DMHD01R 6.3 Making a Record List A record list can be created following the previous instructions. Name ‘.ts’ file and then add to the record list using the ‘Add to record list’ button.
6.4 Creating a ‘.ts’ file To create a ‘.ts’ file for use with your DMHD using existing ‘.avi or .mp4 files you will first need to convert these files to .ts using a .ts converter available on the Antiference website. http://antiference.co.uk/product/conexer-single-hd-dvb-t-modulators/ Please select TS converter in ‘Downloads’ to commence download.
