IMP DMMP Setup Rev 3.pdf Nov 12, 2012 - DSO DMMP Setup / Installation Unbox printer stand Use foot to lock all wheels in place Unbox the printer stand and set upright. Place the stand where the feeder system will be located. Lock all wheels in place by pressing the locks down. Unbox printer Remove the 4 plastic box cover caps. Lift the box straight up. Remove the plastic and locate the 4 lift handles. Lift the printer by using the handles and place on the stand. Printer positioning Slide the printer into the slotted rail on the left side of the stand. Insert the 2 alignment screws from underneath the stand’s table top and into the bottom of the printer. Page 1 of 3 Install stand wings Install both side wings on the stand by aligning the side notches with the 4 screws located on both ends of the stand. Screws Remove Pack Tape Remove all packaging tape from the printer and its trays. Unbox/Install Feeder Unbox the feeder and place it on the right side of the printer stand. Slide the feeder into the open slot on the printer. Screw the locking knob in place. Verify alignment Slide the right side media guide under the alignment rail and position the guide against the media block. Secure 2 allen screws to the block. Repeat for the left side. Then install the media back stop by inserting the nut under the slotted rail and tighten down the thumb screw. Right side Right side Right side Left side Left side Screws Screws Thumb Screw & Nut Locking Knob Thumb Screw Page 2 of 3 Unbox/Install Optional Conveyor Locate the 4 thumb screws for the optional conveyor tray. Place the tray into position on the left side and secure all four screws. Place the optional conveyor on top of the printer and slide it into position. Secure the 2 locking knobs on the bottom of the conveyor tray. Screws Screws Locate the single small flat screw. Secure the screw into the front right side of the alignment arm on the front of the printer. Left side Right side Locking Knob Locking Knob Removing Paper Stacker Cover If the printer was shipped with the paper stacker cover installed and the optional conveyor is going to used, the cover must be removed. Lift the handle and compress the center release tabs to lift off the printer. Unbox/Install Toners Unbox all 4 color toners. Before inserting the toner, shake each toner container up and down 5 to 6 times to ensure even distribution of toner within the cartridge. With the toner label facing up, insert the toner into place, keeping the container horizontal. Repeat the same procedure for all 4 toner cartridges. Power & Communication Plug in the optional conveyor power to the right side port on the feeder. Plug the feeder power to the left side port. Conveyor Feeder Plug in the ethernet and power cable.
