• Adds Magnetic Stripe Reader to any CX30 or TS240 Check Scanner • Encrypted MagTek™ MSR Read Head • Two USB 2.0 Powered Ports Included • Compact Footprint Encrypted. Immediate. Secure. Proven. The DockXpress magnetic stripe reader from Digital Check expands the functionality of the CX30 and TS240 family of check scanners into a multi-functional check and credit card payment processing machine. Inside the DockXpress is a specialized MagTek magnetic read head to encrypt card data immediately as it is swiped, protecting it from even the most advanced data security threats. The modular “docking station” design of the DockXpress integrates nicely with any existing CX30 or TS240 check scanner and eliminates the need for a separate card reader peripheral. Immediate Encryption at the Magnetic Read Head An encrypting read head with patented MagTek technology protects card numbers before they even have the chance to be exposed to viruses, memory scrapers and other forms of malware. Reads all Standard Magstripe Cards The track 1/2/3 magnetic stripe reader can accept credit cards, debit cards, IDs and any other card with standard magnetic encoding. Compatible with most POS systems The DockXpress is a standard card reader recognized by most systems on the market. If it can use a stock MagTek card reader, it can use the DockXpress. Invulnerable to Hardware Attacks The read head does not “touch” any software in the POS system, and cannot be compromised without physically disassembling the machine in workshop conditions. Expansion Ports for PIN Pads and Peripherals The base of the DockXpress contains two additional powered USB 2.0 ports for use with other peripherals. Plugs Into Your TellerScan or CheXpress Scanner Our modular design saves valuable counter space by creating an all-in-one machine. The DockXpress uses the same power and data connections as your scanner to minimize cable clutter. Peace of Mind from the Next Data Breach Successful card data thefts all have one thing in common: The attackers steal the transaction information while it is “in the clear,” or unencrypted. Commonly available malware – including the BlackPOS software used in the notorious Target data breach – can reach all the way into the memory of a Point-of-Sale terminal, grabbing transaction data milliseconds after the card swipe. Encrypting at any point after the payment data has been “touched” by software means it can be attacked. The only way to keep data protected 100% of the time is to encrypt it simultaneously with the swipe, using an encrypting or encapsulated read head – and to keep it encrypted until it is transmitted to the processor. This forms the basis of Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE), the surest method available today of safeguarding your payment data. (0.45 kg) MSR Read Head Track 1, 2 and 3 MSR Encryption Yes - MagTek Encryption occurs on the MagTek read head at the same time the card is swiped using hardwired, chip-based encoding The read head on the DockXpress uses chip-level encryption that is hard-coded at the factory, so there is no software to attack; it cannot be defeated without disassembling the device and replacing microchips. Industry-standard Triple DES encryption employs an effectively infinite number of possible keys. (5.192 x 1033 or 5 million billion billion billion) Additional options allow the device to assign a different encryption algorithm for each transaction – so even if the code was successfully cracked, the thief would have only one valid card number. Too many merchants have learned the hard way that merely complying with PCI guidelines isn’t enough. To ensure the integrity of your transactions, use P2PE and sleep easy at night knowing that your data is safe.
