IPM-708 ARINC-708 Display Bus IPACK Module FEATURES ‣ ARINC 708 protocol support ‣ Two independent transmit and receive channels ‣ Up to 4 IPack Modules on a single carrier board provides up to 8 Tx and 8 Rx per carrier board ‣ Microsecond precise Tx and Rx timetags ‣ Internal loopback capability OVERVIEW The IPM-708 provides two transmit and two receive ARINC 708 display bus channels. Available as a 32MHz single-size Industry Pack (IPack) module, the IPM-708 offers 32-bit transmit and receive time tagging with a precision of one microsecond. Flexible status and interrupt flags fully support both polling and interrupt-driven software strategies to ensure optimal real-time performance. The IPM-708 contains on-board coupling transformers. A highperformance FPGA is used to provide encode/decode, error injection and detection, fail-safe timer, and transceiver control functions. As an added convenience, the IPM-708 comes with 16 general-purpose DIO ports, which can be individually programmed as inputs or outputs, and optional ARINC 429 channels. 32-bit timetags allow precise detection of edge transitions. SOFTWARE SUPPORT The MX-Foundation library provides high-level abstraction of hardware and allows to easily control mixed protocols and I/O modules on one or multiple carrier boards.
