Electrical connection : All electrical connections MUST be carried out by an authorized technician and in accordance with local regulations. As a minimum ‘Classeq’ recommends that the following standards are maintained :
Electrics Volts
Supply isolator switch must have all pole separation of more than 3mm. EN 60335 The appliance must be connected to a equi-potential conductor, the connection stud is located at the rear of the appliance (a suitable ring terminal shall be required), this is in addition to the earthed electrical supply.
Prior to connecting the appliance, ensure that the voltage and the supply fuse complies with the rating plate on the appliance.

Engineers Manual Machine operation - 2008 models
Basic operation (please refer to Installation & Operators manual 902.0011 for more data)
1 = On / Off lamp 2 = On / Off switch 3 = Machine ready lamp 4 = Cycle & Drain switch 5 = Cycle & Drain lamp
Function ON / OFF lamp Only illuminates when switched on at the On / Off switch ON / OFF switch Only operational when machine has a power supply Ready lamp Illuminates when the ‘interlock’ option is satisfied Cycle & Drain switch Only operational when the machine is not in either a wash or drain down cycle Cycle & Drain lamp Illuminates when either a wash or drain down cycle is in progress
Normal operation •
Switch ON at wall
•
Depress the ‘On / Off’ switch (2), the ‘On / Off’ lamp (1) will illuminate.
•
Typically initial heat and fill times are : • 20 to 25 minutes for 30amp or 3 phase machines • 30 to 45 minutes for 13 amp machines These figures vary depending upon the size of the machine and incoming water temperature.
•
Once the machine has filled, and the interlock option has been satisfied, the ‘Ready’ lamp (3) will illuminate.
•
To start a cycle, press the ‘Cycle & Drain’ switch (4), the ‘Cycle & Drain’ lamp (5) will now illuminate, if the ‘Ready’ lamp (5) is illuminated the cycle will start, if not the machine will wait until ready before starting the cycle.
•
To repeat a cycle, again press the ‘Cycle & Drain’ switch (4) as described above. Page 10
Engineers Manual Machine operation - 2008 models
Basic operation (please refer to Installation & Operators manual 902.0011 for more data)
1 = On / Off lamp 2 = On / Off switch 3 = Machine ready lamp 4 = Cycle & Drain switch 5 = Cycle & Drain lamp
Draining down (Drain pump machines only) •
During each cycle the machine will automatically drain away any excessive water within the machine
•
To perform a complete drain down, press the ‘On / Off’ switch (2) so that the ‘On / Off’ lamp (1) is NOT illuminated.
•
Now press the ‘Cycle / Drain’ switch (4), the ‘Cycle / Drain’ lamp (5) will now illuminate and only go out once the drain down cycle is completed, this will take approximately 3 minutes.
•
DO NOT switch the machine ON at the ‘On / Off’ switch (2) during the drain down cycle.
Draining down (Gravity drain machines only) •
The drain plug within the wash tan will regulate the water depth during normal operation, if the water starts to drop or rise check the following • Drain plug is secure • Drain plug is not blocked
•
To drain the complete machine, simple remove the drain plug, please remember that the rinse tank will remain full.

Engineers Manual Water connection & Interlock - 2009 models—Effective from May 2010
Water connection •
Water connection : Both the H857 & H957 ranges come with a water supply hose requiring a ¾” BSP male threaded connection at the mains water supply, upon installation and commissioning all water joints must be checked for leaks and made water tight.
•
Water supply restrictions : Water supply constraints must be adhered to : •
Incoming water temperature
• •
•
4°c minimum 55°c maximum
Supply water dynamic pressure (air break machines, minimum water pressure 0.25 bar, all other parameters apply).
• • • •
0 to 2 bar
Rinse booster pump required
2 to 4 bar
No modifications required
4 to 6 bar
Flow restrictor required
6 bar plus Pressure reducing valve required If the above requirements are not adhered to, the performance of the appliance will be impaired
Lime scale damage caused to the machine due to the lack of water softener or incorrect regeneration of a softener is
never covered by the manufacturers warranty.
Interlock options : Hydro 857 & 957 ranges have three interlock option, each option allowing cycles to start irrespective of water temperature, Two of the options extend the cycle until the required temperatures these being as stated in the above table. Selection of the required option is achieved by configuring wires located within the machine below the control panel
•
Interlock removed Connect the Black crimp cover to the White socket
•
Quick start (default setting) Extends the wash cycle until the rinse tank is above 55°c Connect the Green crimp cover to the White socket
•
Interlock Extends the wash cycle until both tanks achieve their required temperatures Connect the Red crimp cover to the White socket

Terminal block - Convert 30Amp machines to 3 phase (with neutral)
Kit / Components required 5 core cable (2.5mm² per core) or of the local standard to suit 3 phase with neutral (6 kW loading)
To convert a standard machine with a 6 kW (3 leg) rinse element to 3 phase with neutral: •
Isolate power supply before working on the machine
•
Remove top panel from the machine
•
Remove the links from between ‘L1’ - ‘L2’ and ‘L2’ – ‘L3’ on the terminal block
Terminal block configuration for 1 phase + neutral
•
Ensure the control circuit live (0.5mm² blue wire) is at L1, the terminal block should now look like the following picture, if not re-wire to ensure the terminal block compiles with this picture
Terminal block configuration for 3 phase + neutral
