DVI-HDCP-OPTS-TX90 and DVI-HDCP-OPTS-RX90 Quick Start Guide Introduction Typical application with USB supply Lightware DVI-HDCP-OPTS-TX90 and DVI-HDCP-OPTS-RX90 pair is a DVI-D fiber transmitter and receiver set for up to 10 km (in case of OS1 cable) distance transmisson. Using Single Fiber Technology the DVI-D signal with HDCP encryption is transmitted over only one single mode 9/125 fiber core. Sources and display devices are galvanically isolated against ground loops and hum effects, and no delay occurs in the signal, the video image is transported without any frame latency. Installation 1. Connect a single mode LC fiber cable to the LC IN connector on the receiver (RX90) unit. 2. Connect the receiver unit to a DVI display (e.g. monitor). 3. Supply the receiver with +5V DC by connecting the receiver unit to the USB connector with the supplied micro USB cable or to the electric outlet with the supplied power adaptor. 4. Power on the display device (monitor). 5. Connect the other end of the single mode LC fiber cable to the LC OUT connector on the transmitter (TX90) unit. 6. Connect the transmitter to a DVI source (e.g. computer). 7. If the DVI source device is able to provide enough +5V DC current (500mA), there is no need for external +5V DC power. If the DVI source device does not provide enough power, connect the transmitter unit to the USB connector with the supplied micro USB cable or to the electric outlet with the supplied power adaptor. 8. Power on the DVI source (computer). It reads the EDID from the display (monitor), and outputs the video signal according to the set resolution. 9. Check the status LED. When successful connection has been made, the blue LEDs on the transmitter and receiver will appear solid (not blinking).
