Label Sizes DYMO manufactures standard sized labels as well as a wide variety of specialty sized and shaped labels. The labels can be sized to a maximum width of 58,4mm (2,3 ”) (or 101,6 mm (4 ” ) if using a 4XL printer) and a maximum length of 247,6 mm (9,75 ”).
Custom Size – Software Templates We have custom templates available for use with our DYMO Software to assist printing on custom labels. In order to provide the correct template please specify which of the following systems you use: PC running Windows® 2000, Me and XP, NT Macintosh OS X, 10.1 or higher use DYMO version 6.0 OS 9 and previous use DYMO version 5.04 Material Standard Paper Material that is used for a variety of applications

Permanent
Ideal Use A general purpose adhesive featuring excellent adhesion to a wide variety of “difficult to adhere to” surfaces. This is the adhesive used for most of our standard labels. Ultra-removable adhesive that does not leave residue. An excellent general purpose removable adhesive, with relatively stable adhesion. Recommended for applications where clean removability is of prime importance. Ideal for smooth flat surfaces. An aggressive industrial grade adhesive that complies with FDA 175.105. A rubber based adhesive with long term bond strength. Excellent adhesion to a wide variety of “difficult to adhere to” surfaces and cold temperature applications.
Removable
General purpose removable adhesive, with relatively stable adhesion. With clean removability. Idea for smooth flat surfaces.
Permanent
Excellent adhesion to a wide variety of “difficult to adhere to” surfaces.
Non-adhesive
No adhesive qualities
Artwork Your DYMO Custom Labels can be preprinted with your own color graphics/ logo. Options are one of the following four choices: • Provide your own camera ready artwork for printing • Provide your own camera ready watermark artwork for printing (one PMS color only for watermark logo) • Solid flood coated background on label– you pick your PMS color • Have our art department create your camera ready artwork for you (Cost to be agreed)

Acceptable software: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Indesign, Quark Xpress Fonts: Please include copies of all fonts used in your document. Both the screen and printer fonts are needed for Postscript fonts. Documents with all fonts outlined are usable without including fonts, but don’t allow for editing. Minimum sizes are 4 pt. for positive type and 5 pt. for reverse type with most fonts. Graphics: PDF sent for art should be saved as printer quality. Linked or placed files used in your document should be included. Bleed – 1,5875 mm (1/16”) beyond die line or crop marks – please remove excess or unused art. Copy placement should be 1,5875 mm (1/16” ) away from the label edge. Graduated screens 100% to 2%. Trapping: Do not Trap. Due to multiple presses and different specifications per press, we do all trapping in-house. Templates for standard size labels are downloadable online or available upon request. Art charges: Orders received with artwork meeting the above criteria will not be subject to art charges (otherwise, an extra charge will be applied). If you have not authorized art charges, DYMO will notify you before any changes are made to your artwork. If you have any questions about preparing your files, please
[email protected] prior to sending files. Artwork approval Before printing, a digital pdf file will be e-mailed for approval of size, positioning, spelling, etc. Note: shipment date (listed below) of 10 - 15 business days is based upon receipt of your signed approval of artwork.
Color PMS inks PMS (Pantone Matching System) color numbers should be specified with each new order (1 to 4 PMS Colors may be used) Please be sure to refer to the coated PMS color guide (link: http://www.bannermarketinggroup.com/inkcolorchart.htm) If you do not have access to a Pantone guide, DYMO can match your color samples (as closely as possible). Note: some fluorescent and metallic PMS colors are not available. CMYK inks Please indicate if you need CMYK colors for more precision in the graphic. (Note: CMYK colors are more expensive and require a 20,000 minimum order quantity)
Printing Plates There is a €60 one-time set-up charge for each PMS printing plate. One printing plate is needed per PMS color including black ink. There is a €80 one-time set-up charge for each CMYK printing plate (total of 4 plates = €320). Plates are stored for reorders.
Quantity Minimum order quantity The minimum order quantity for custom labels is approximately 5,000 labels for PMS color and 20,000 labels for CMYK color. This quantity will vary depending on the type of label and quantity per roll. DYMO does not ship partial rolls. Over/Under Production Runs DYMO reserves the right to ship and bill for 10% overs/unders the quantity ordered.
Production Time Normal production time is 10 – 15 business days from receipt of artwork approval. Note: extremely detailed artwork and artwork that requires changes or modifications may require additional production time. Seasonal volume may also affect production time.
Shipping DYMO ships FedEx Ground unless otherwise specified. To receive notification once your order has been shipped, please provide us with an e-mail address. DYMO will use your shipping account number if specified on order.
Price Includes label (size, material, color), ink, plates, dies, artwork, shipping and tax. Over/Under Pricing As DYMO reserves the right to ship and bill for 10% overs/unders, the final order pricing will be revised at time of shipment to reflect the actual quantity shipped.
Payment DYMO accepts credit card payment (American Express, VISA, Mastercard or Discover). If using a credit card, the initial total will be charged to your card at the time of order entry and any remaining balance will be charged when the order is shipped. Purchase orders are accepted for Sanford approved customers. Once a custom order has been processed, DYMO cannot offer credits and/or returns.
