TS-154A Instruction Manual 1. Safety precautions Please read the following “safety precautions” thoroughly before using the fan for safety and correct use. After reading, it is advisable that the safety precautions to be kept in a convenient place, so that any other persons can refer to them whenever necessary. The following safety precautions have particular purposes that the Fan should be operated safely so as not to cause any danger or damage. The safety precautions are separated into two categories, a “Warning” and “Caution” according to a degree of danger or damage that may be resulted unless instructions are observed strictly. Either a “Warning” or “Caution” contains important messages regarding the safety operation of the Fan, which should be strictly followed. Warning Caution Indicates that, unless observed strictly, serious injury or the death of a person may be resulted. Indicates that, unless observed strictly, human injury or physical damage* may be resulted. * The physical damage means damage that may be caused to houses, furniture, domestic animals and pets. Legend  means actions that are prohibited The specific actions prohibited will be described inside or near a circle either using a text or drawing. The drawing shown on the left indicates “No disassembly.” No disassembly  The specific measures to be taken compulsorily will be described inside or near a circle either using a text or drawing. The drawing on the left indicates “Grounding”. Grounding -1- TS-154A Warning No disassembly  Do not modify the fan. The disassembly and repair work should be performed only by a qualified technician.  Unless the above is observed, the Fan may catch fire, or become a cause of abnormal operation that may result in injury to a person.  During the maintenance the power should be turned off. As for the model with a power code, disconnected its plug from the outlet. Do not touch the plug or outlet with wet hand, it may risk an electric shock. or injury. Turn-off power  Secure the connection to the ground (for the model provided with an grounding terminal), otherwise, an electric shock may be resulted when there is a malfunction or electric leak in the Fan. For the grounding work, contact to your sales shop. Grounding  No water should be sprayed or poured on the Fan. This may result in an electric shock or short or short circuitting. No water Caution  When the Fan is operating, do not put your finger or any objects into the blades. Doing so may result injury to a person. Don’t touch  Do not operate the Fan other than with the rated voltage or rated frequency, otherwise a fire or electric shock may be resulted. Don’t use  Ask your sales shop or other specialists to do electric works for the Fan. Incorrect electric works may result in a fire or electric shock. Install with care  For the installation of the main unit of the Fan, select a section where provides sufficient strength, otherwise it may fall or result in injury to a person.  Install the blades and other parts securely, otherwise they may fall and result in injury to a person. -2- TS-154A 2.Installation Before starting installation, check the followings:  Make sure that of the indicated on the nameplate, output, voltage, frequency conforms to your ordered specifications.  Make sure that any damage or deformation has been occurred during the transportation. It is required that the fan should be installed onto a section having sufficient strength, otherwise resonance may occur, and it becomes the risk of a breakage of the blades, or becomes a source of noise.  Make sure that fan rotating direction is correct. Counter-clockwise from fan side is correct. 3.Maintenace  In order to prolong the fan’s life, carry out the maintenance every year.  Take care the fan blades. Deformation or attached something may occurs fan troubles. 4.Warranty  If the fan is failed to function under normal use within a year from the date of purchase, we will repair such damage free of charge. However, if a cause of damage is one of the followings, such repair work will be charged.  If the malfunction or breakage is occurred because that the fan is dropped after your purchase.  If the damage or malfunction is occurred because that the fan is incorrectly operated, or the fan is improperly modified.  If the damage or malfunction is due to external causes such as fire, earthquake, flood, or act of Gods. Warrant is only applicable for the Fan used in Japan. Any questions regarding repair work after the expiration of warranty, please contact with us. 5.Functional parts for repair The maximum period of retaining functional parts for the repair work of the Fan is 6 years after the end of their manufacturing. 6.Request If any warning or caution labels are damaged or become unrecognizable, please obtain their replacements, which are sold separately.
