Summary: The intension of this information is to help the machine user and service technician in fault diagnosis and communication with aftersales support from Primus.
Solution: 1.
FOR THE MACHINE USER: Mostly the machine user does not know the errors that were shown. It is important to make a logbook where they note the error number that is shown on the display when the red LED-light is flashing. They can also note the selected program number and with this information they must call the dealer, telling also the serial number of the machine.
2.
FOR THE TECHNICIAN Preparation of the visit: 1. Please collect all manuals and electric diagrams of the machine (see “Dealer login” on Primus website). 2. Please check the error messages that the customer is giving, they are mentioned in the installation manual or in the programming manual. 3. Please call the customer if not all information has been given or to give them first aid advise. 4. Make sure you have related spare parts with you (see recommended spare part lists) to avoid 2 trips (=expensive). Remark: also the end user can buy some spares in advance for emergency cases. Arrival at the machine: 1. Listen to the customer’s explanation of the problem. 2. Check the Error-menu (E-menu for Easy Control / Service menu for the Full Control) of the control board. 3. Clear the error list. 4. Check the manual for the explanation of the specific error numbers that are registered. 5. Compare point 1 and 2 to see if the story of the customer is the same as the errors listed. 6. Repair the parts by using the circuit diagram (to measure related signals) and the spare part manual. 7. Run a test program
3.
COMMUNICATION WITH PRIMUS If possible, e-mail or call our After sales department who can give you an on-line advice. 1. please give serial number of the machine 2. please give us the error that were listed 3. please give us description of the actions taken 4. please give us all related information
