This general purpose probe has a 1/8" diameter shaft. Is swaged to a smaller diameter and given a very sharp tip for easy penetration in most semi-solids. Also suitable for liquids and air temperatures. Very durable probe recommended for hard daily use. Resists bending and breaking. Fairly quick response time takes only about 8 seconds to a complete reading. Max temp: 482°F
