7.5(19.05) Installation and maintenance of this system should be done by authorized personnel only. Bosch Security Systems recommends testing the entire system at least once a week, and having a qualified technician check the system at a minimum of once a year.
ICP-EZM2
This equipment was tested and found to comply with the specifications in Part 15 of FCC rules for Class B Computing Devices. Operation is subject to the two following conditions (1) this device must not cause any interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received including interference that might cause undesired operation. Complies with Part 68, FCC rules. FCC Registration Number: US:ESVAL00BEZ1. Ringer Equivalency Number (REN): 0.0B.
Install this equipment according to Chapter 11 of the National Fire Alarm Code, ANSI/NFPA 72 (National Fire Protection Association, Batterymarch Park, Quincy, MA 02269). Printed information describing proper installation, operation, testing, maintenence, evacuation planning, and repair service must be provided with this equipment. Warning - Owners Instruction Notice: Not to be removed by anyone except occupant. Suitable for the following applications: 1) Household Burglar Alarm System Units, Grade A, 2) Household Fire Warning System Units, 3) Police Station Connect, Grade A; Local, Grade A Mercantile. Model D8108A Attack Resistant Enclosure and a UL Listed local sounding device are required, 4) Central Station, Grade C; Central Station, Grade B when installed with a UL Listed sounding device, and Encrypted Line Security when communicating via a network, 5) Proprietary Burglar Alarm Units, Grade A. Install the ICP-EZM2 according to the Easy Series Installer Guide (P/N: F01U025147). Warning: This unit includes an alarm verification feature that delays the system alarm signal from the indicated circuits. The total delay (control unit plus smoke detectors) must not exceed 60 sec. Do not connect any other smoke detector to these circuits unless approved by the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Control Unit (Delay-sec)
Twisted pair wire (recommended)
9 (22.86) 3 m (10 ft) minimum distance from control center to control panel.
Auxiliary Power 12 VDC, 1 A maximum. Subtract 110 mA for each control center connected to the system.
Powered sensor point suitable for two-wire smoke detectors. 2.2 k W resistor (P/N: 25899) required at End-of-Line. For compatible smoke detectors, refer to the Easy Series Intrusion Control Panel Smoke Detector Compatibility List (P/N: F01U004853). UL Control Panel Compatibility Identifier = B. This loop also supports four-wire smoke detectors, such as the Bosch Security Systems D273TH or F220 Series. This loop can also be used as a supervised point.

ICP-EZM2 Control Panel Current Draw: 85 mA standby; 160 mA alarm (all outputs activated) Voltage: 12.0 VDC nominal (11.2 VDC to 12.3 VDC)* Total Alarm Power: 1.4 A (AC and battery; intrusion applications only)** Auxiliary Power Current: 1.0 A for all auxiliary devices * Auxiliary power devices 11.2 to 12.3 VDC. The ICP-EZM2 stops processing point faults when the voltage drops below 9.5 VDC. ** With a 7.0 Ah battery, the following current draws apply to all outputs and devices connected to the system: - Up to 170 mA for 24 hr for fire and combined fire/burglary applications - Up to 400 mA for 4 hr for UL burglary applications - Up to 1.2 A for other applications (not investigated by UL)

Power-limited Wiring All wiring except primary AC power and standby battery is power-limited. Separate primary AC power and standby battery wires from other wires by at least 6.4 mm (¼ in.), and secure to enclosure to prevent movement. Primary AC power and standby battery wiring cannot share the same conduit, conduit fittings, or conduit knockouts with any other wiring. The Class 2, Class 3, and power-limited fire alarm circuits are installed using CL3, CL3R, or CL3P, or substitute cable as permitted by the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70. Power-limited fire alarm circuit conductors that extend beyond the cable jacket must be separated a minimum of 6.4 mm (¼ in.), or by non-conductive tubing or by a non-conductive barrier from all other conductors.
