EchoAccess Devices Page 2 of 6 Electronic Theatre Controls, Inc. ETC Quick Guide EchoAccess Configurable Devices Configuring a Light Sensor Note: Changes made in EchoAccess impact the behavior of Custom mode of Light Sensors only. Basic config mode (Custom switch set to Off) remains unaffected by these settings. The Custom mode On/Off switch is located on the rear of the device. Light Settings • Current Measurement - gives the current lux level of the sensor. • Record Target - tap to use the current lux level as the target level. • Target Lux Value - tap to manually set a custom level. Sensitivity • Photo Timeout - set the length of time the sensor waits before triggering the next action. Options include 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes.  Photo Deadband • This setting determines how far off the Target Lux Value the current lux measurement must be (in % of the Target Value) for the sensor to take action. With the Target Lux Value as the center point, threshold values can be calculated by adding or subtracting the Deadband % Target. • Low=Target - (Target x Deadband%) / 100 • High=Target + (Target x Deadband%) / 100 Action Type Set to function as either Switch or Dim • When in Switch mode: the sensor has two events with configurable actions. When measured light exceeds the Bright threshold its action occurs, and when measured light is below the Dark threshold its action occurs. • When in Dim mode: once the measured light is found to be outside the target +/- deadband amount, the sensor will continuously trigger Dimming Raise Events and Dimming Lower Events until the target amount of light is reached or artificial lighting reaches maximums. Switch Action • Switched Bright Event- Use the drop down menus and keypad to set the action, the preset associated with that action, and the timing of the preset fade. • Switched Dark Event - Use the drop down menus and keypad to set the action, the preset associated with that action, and the timing of the preset fade. Dim Action • Dimming Raise Event- set Zone Raise/Lower or Space Raise/Lower. Additional menus will become available based on the action selected.
