First, adjust the waist band to your waist length. Insert the band through four ears of the amplifier by following the 5 steps as shown above. Click the locker into the slot, and then adjust the waist band length again to fit your waist. Unlock the band by pressing two sides of the locker when the application is over.
USING THE AMPLIFIER Pre-charge the amplifier by using the adapter 1. Make sure the working voltage of the power adapter supplied is in accordance with your power source, before charging your amplifier. 2. Switch on the amplifier and plug in the adapter/ charger. The charger indicator will flash RED-to-GREEN slowly 3 times to indicate pre-charging of the battery, then RED light will remain on to indicate charging of the battery. Quick flash of RED-to-GREEN indicates the charging is close to being completed. Note: Make sure the battery is fully charged before using the amplifier for the first time to protect the battery. Controlling the amplifier (Refer to diagram on Page 2) 1. Switch on the amplifier, the amplifier will automatically check the battery capacity again. If low battery (6) is indicated, please charge the battery as soon as possible. 2. Plug either the headset microphone or the transdermal microphone into the socket marked mic/line (4). Do not plug either microphone into the socket (2) adjacent to the master volume control. This is the headphone output socket. 3.. Transdermal/ throat microphone: Place the microphone around the neck, positioning round the disk on the side of the voice box and plug microphone into socket (4). Adjust line/ microphone volume (5) to maximum then gently increase the master control wheel (1) to obtain the desired volume. The microphone should now be active and speech will be passed through the built in speaker. The position of the disk on the voice box may need adjusting to obtain the best sound. The microphone neckband can also be bent to achieve a more snug fit. 4. Headset microphone . Adjust line/ microphone volume (5) to half rotation then gently increase the master control wheel (1) to obtain the desired volume. The microphone should now be active and speech will be passed through the built in speaker. Fine tune the master volume (1) of the amplifier to reach the required output sound level. 5. It is possible to use headphones with this unit, they connect to the headphone socket (2). Before connecting the headphones ensure that the master volume control is set to minimum. Slowly increase the master volume until a comfortable listening level is achieved. When the headphones are connected the output from the speaker is muted. USING THE MICROPHONE
