Digital Control Desk System Series EE 380A To each base station EE 380A up to 4 button modules with 12 buttons each can be connected. The buttons can be assigned to various functions: direct dialling with call indication (conversation, call, emergency call), output functions e.g.: switching of light circuits, starting processes opening of doors or gates, etc.; Indication of input messages, e.g. indication of door and gate states. Optionally there are button modules with 3-colour LEDs
available, at which e.g. calls or system states can be indicated and distinguished clearly. The base station is manufactured in new DSP-technology, which enables functions such as Audio Monitoring or Loudspeaker / Microphone Monitoring. The stations are also prepared for future download of new functions and can utilize the OpenDuplex® capability of the Intercom Servers.

Installation Precautions
Station Tests
• When opening the stations ESD precautions must be observed.
The station tests are started as follows: Keep button F, pressed, press the button for the desired test (e.g. 1 for test 1), release button F, release the button for the test. The test is cancelled by calling up „test X“
• The stations may only be opened by authorised service engineers. • For operation of the active loudspeaker (EE 380ABEG/ EE38 ADEG), the external power supply is mandatory.
Button 1:
Display test with „888888“ – with this test the display can be tested.
Button 2:
Dialling test – with this test the buttons can be tested.
Button 3:
Input/Output test – (0 = inactive, 1 = active) 2nd digit = OUT1, 4th digit = IN1
Button 4:
• Do not expose the station to extreme temperature below –10°C/14°F or above +60°C/140°F.
Display test with all segments – with this test all segments of the display are switched on, so any defects of the display can be diagnosed.
Button 5:
• The station must stand on its own, not e.g. in a shelf or under a filing trey.
Indication software version: e.g. *V02.0* means: station software version 02.0
Button 6:
Test for line errors – a number is indicated (counts upward every 10,000 error free messages, max. 99).
Button 7:
Line quality: a number between 0 and 3 appears in the display (3 = best quality).
Position and Mounting Instructions • Do not connect the power supply of the modules until all modules are connected with each other.
• Do not position the stations besides the base station of a cordless phone.
Button module-test • Activate direct dialling test: Press and hold X and then 2. All LED-buttons are switched to red (only EM302) and the display shows “0<-00”. • Button test: press a button on a button module. In the display the number of the button which is pressed and the respective module number are shown (e.g.: 1<-04...first module, fourth button). Press a button again to change the color to green, then blue and then OFF (cycle). • The test is quit by pressing the button X, or automatically after 10 seconds.

Installation Mounting of the Modules EM 301 | EM 302 • The modules are mounted to the base station as shown in the illustration. • Unused screws may not be removed, because this leads to acoustic problems and dust could enter the housing.
Mounting of the Modules EM 301EG | EM 302EG • Connect the housing components with the supplied snap-on connectors. Make sure that the snapping-hooks are installed at the bottom as shown in the detail drawing. • Additionally the modules are fixed together with the mounting plate. • The cover is used to close the module the farthest to the right hand side.

EE 380A
Features EE 380A Compatibility EE 380 / EE 380A • The following new features of the EE 380A are available as of central software Pro 06.2 (and configuration software CCT as of 6.2): • Multifunction LED • High volume (incl. Voltage Monitoring)
Multifunction led Instead of the “red lamp” of the EE 380, the EE 380A includes a multifunction LED, with which the colours RED, GREEN and BLUE can be indicated. With the configuration software CCT the LED can be configured individually and separately for: • Tone Signals – e.g. error tone, privacy tone, “waiting signal for busy” etc. • Operating states – e.g. emergency call, “state group call”, “state conference listen” etc. For LED indication of the tone signals / operating states, the following configurations are possible: Mode of LED indication
Colour for permanent LED / 1st colour for blink rhythm
2nd colour for blink rhythm
Selection of a blink rhythm or permanent LED
Selection of Red / Green / Blue or no colour
Selection of Red / Green / Blue or no colour
high volume Instead of the volume levels 0 to 9 available with station EE 380, the EE 380A offers volume levels from 0 to 11; these volume levels are available for the different conversation modes and tones. Voltage Monitoring: The station monitors automatically whether the current supply is sufficient for the operation of the station with the respective volume level. If at higher line lenghts the current supply is too low, the volume level is reduced automatically (in no case lower than volume level 8).
