This means that noisy pedals or tone robbing pedals that you ‘love to hate’ can now be used and completely taken out of the signal path when they are not needed. Better yet, while an effects-loop is in ‘standby’ you can turn on and off pedals in that loop to setup for your next sound. Then, with one foot stomp you can turn on as many pedals as you like for professional multi-effects performance without the usual tap dancing! For those that like quiet tuning, you can use the second loop as a tuner out and the BigShot EFX will mute your signal with a single stomp. Effects-loops in Series Effects Loop With A Tuner-mute The two effect loops on the BigShot EFX are wired in series. The guitar signal hits loop-1 first followed by loop-2. If loop-1 is bypassed the input signal goes straight to loop-2. Consider placing your distortion and fuzz pedals in loop-1 and modulation pedals like chorus and delay in loop-2. Set up loop-1 for a rhythm sound and kick in a high-gain pedal with loop-2 for lead. Or use a loop to remove a tone sucking pedal from of the signal chain. The MUTE option on loop-2 is a nice feature that lets you use loop-2 as a tuner-mute. Connect a tuner to the SEND-2 jack. When engaged, stomping on loop-2 will mute your amp and allow for silent tuning.
