Please follow local traffic regulations and national laws while riding this scooter. 2. Do not ride while visibility is low. 3. Do not use this scooter for special effects or dangerous action performance. 4. Do not use this scooter to carry person or goods. 5. Make sure all screws and fasteners are normal before using it. 5. Make sure the folding axle enters the slot. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Reading this manual carefully helps you to understand, use and maintain this product properly and to know its performance and features. 2. Please learn how to use in open flat and person-less area during preliminary learning. And safety protective devices should be worn. 3. A range of distance should be practiced to make all parts and brake into right position before using it. OPERATING GUIDANCE BATTERY 1. Do not start motor during charging. 2. Battery Indicator only shows battery range roughly. 3. The battery can not be charged more than two hours after fully charged already. 4. It’s suggested to slow down and stop using while the battery indicator turns red. DO NOT USE BATTERY UNDER FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES: 1. The product is damaged. 2. Abnormal smell and heat is released from the battery. 3. You should stop riding and do not touch with leaking liquid while there is any liquid leakage. And the product should be placed where children can not reach. CHARGER AND BATTERY 1. This electric scooter’s charging port is external. Please make the charger insert the charging port before connecting power supply. 2. While the charger indicator is red, charging is normal. While the indicator turns green, the charging is finished. 3. Make sure the power is disconnected before taking out battery for installation or maintenance. Do not open the inside of battery. Do not leave battery in high temperature place. 3. Please charge this scooter with standard qualified charger. 4. Dispatch battery and carry the scooter on permissible environment, and conforming to national regulations. SAFETY NOTICE WARNING 1. This scooter is designed for one person use only. -2- 2. Safety protective devices should be worn while using it. Two hands should be on the handlebars during riding. Do not use one hand only. 3. Please ride after familiarizing with this product by practicing in open area. 4. Please follow local traffic laws. 5. Keep two feet on the pedal. 6. Please slow down while coming across place with lots of person. 7. Do not ride on abnormal surfaces such as areas with water, oil, or ice. 8. Adjust the scooter to appropriate position before using. TIPS: Lean forward while accelerating. Put gravity backward while decelerating. BEFORE START 1. Choose a flat and open area. 2. Carry out the scooter according to the manual, and adjust it to comfortable height. 3. Wear safety protective devices. 4. Make sure all fasteners are normal. RIDING (ASSISTANCE RIDING) 1. Press to turn on the power. 2. To ensure safety, the product is equipped with assistance start. First, put a foot on the pedal, another on the ground and kick it backward to make the scooter slid forward. Then pull the throttle switch slowly. 3. The scooter will go forward, leaving the foot from ground to the pedal, and enlarge the throttle to speed up the scooter. 4. After riding at a constant speed for 8 seconds, the throttle switch can be loosen to enter into cruise control status. Braking or accelerating will stop cruise control status. PARKING 1. Release the throttle in your right hand. 2. Move your gravity center backward. 3. Pull hand brake slightly by left and hand Brake will cut off motor power immediately and drum brake on rear wheel will decelerate the scooter. After decelerating, put one foot on the ground. Do not brake heavily. Road condition should be considered. -3- OPERATING GUIDANCE Throttle --- ON/OFF Button (Press this Button for 3 seconds) ---Gear Button --- Speed display TIME --- Time display TRIP --- Single trip ODO --- Total trip 8888.8 ---Value -4- HOW TO OPEN AND FOLD THE SCOOTER HOW TO OPEN: STEP 1 Open the package and take the scooter out. Make sure that the scooter is under normal conditions. STEP 2: First open the lower locker, step one foot on the pedal, with one hand holding T-bar to push it forward. After the folding place is in right position and lock the lower locker. -5- STEP 3: Pull both handlebars outside (picture 4) to make both handle grips in same line with the handle bar. (You can shake a little during this process.) STEP 4: Release the upper locker, press the hoodle down inside the pole, and pull the T-bar up to appropriate position ( picture 5). After it’s in right position, lock the upper locker. -6- HOW TO FOLD: STEP 1: Release the upper locker, press the hoodle down inside the T-bar, and adjust the T-bar down to the lowest position. Then lock the upper locker.(picture 6) STEP 2: Pull the left and right folding sleeves out to left or right side and make them out of T-bar (picture7) and fold them down to the T-bar. -7- STEP 3: Press the pedal by right foot and push the middle pole forward by right hand, and press the folding switch to make folding axle separate from the slot (picture 9) -8- BATTERY AND CHARGER The scooter is equipped with exclusive lithium battery and charger. Chargers of other brands can not be used for charging. Also, the charger can not be used to charge other batteries. LITHIUM BATTERY The battery should be charged on time after every use. If it’s not used for long time, please charge at least once every month. If it’s not charged for long time, the battery will go into self protective status, and it can not be charged. In such case, please contact your dealer. CHARGER The charger have over-charge protection function. Once the battery is 100% charged, it will stop charging automatically. (It’s suggested to charge 2 extra hours after fully charged.) CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS 1. First insert the charger connector into charge port. 2. Then make charger connect with power supply (AC100-240V). 3. After connected, if the charger indicator is red, it’s under normal charging process. If the indicator turns green, it means it’s fully charged. (The best full charging status is 2hours after the indicator turns green.) CHARGE PORT’S POSITION TIPS: Make sure all connectors are in right position while charging. -9- ADJUSTMENT OF REAR suspension STRENGTH Strength of rear suspension can be adjusted. There is a suspension under the rear side of pedal (picture 11) there is a nut on the front part of suspension which can be adjusted. Use a spanner to loosen the nut a little, then the suspension will go soft. Tighten the nut, then the suspension will go strong. It’s suggested that the suspension can not be too soft. If the faults and damages are caused by the following reasons, it’s not included within warranty coverage even it’s within warranty period: 1. It’s not used and maintained according to users manual. 2. The scooter is damaged because of dangerous actions or breaking laws and regulations. 3. The scooter is modified at will, and non original parts are used. 4. Ride the scooter on abnormal roads. 5. The scooter is used for business or rental, or used improperly. 6. Force majeure. 7. The scooter is exposed outside for longtime, which caused fast aging and malfunction of the product. - 10 - OPERATION Battery quantity and speed are shown according to electric scooter’s riding status. TIME, TRIP and ODO are shown according to functions chosen. Press button 3 seconds to start the speedometer system. Then the LED screen will light on and show the standby status. Press button shortly, then the electric scooter will display or shine present gear L1, L2, or L3. L3 is the fastest gear, while L1 the lowest. At this time, if press L2, and L3. Press shortly, mode gear will change among L1, button for 5 seconds, then the gear will save by itself and exit. Gear setting has memory function. While start the scooter next time, the set gear will run automatically. Under the circumstances of full battery and loading below 70kg, speeds of every gear is as followed: L1: Maximum speed is around 15km/h. L2: Maximum speed is around 20km/h. L3: Maximum speed is around 25km/h. Press button to enter into single trip display, and icon “TRIP” is lightened. Value area shows 4 integrals and 1 decimal. For example “0123.4” means single trip is 123.4km. Under this interface, press Press button for 3 seconds, the single trip value will be cleared. button to enter into accumulated trip display interface, and icon “ODO” is lightened. Value area shows 5 integrals. For example “12345” means total trip is 12345km. Total trip value is the accumulated trip value of the scooter, and it can not be cleared. Press button to enter into charging frequency display interface. Value area shows 5 integrals. For example 00018 means the battery has been charged and used for 18 times. When the battery is charged after the electricity quantity of the scooter is lower than 30% of total quantity, it’s counted as one charging. Under this interface, pressing mode button shortly can help you go back to time display interface. Press button to enter into time display interface, and icon “TIME” is lightened. Initial time display format is “MM:SS”. First two integrals shows minutes, while rear two integrals seconds. When time display arrives at “99:59”, that is 99 minutes 59 seconds, it will switch to “HH:MM” format, which means first two integrals show hours and rear two integrals minutes. - 11 - PARAMETERS PARAMETER NO. 1 DEFAULT VALUE 0 MINIMUM VALUE 0 DESCRIPTION Start mode. 0= zero start, 1=non zero start, default is 0. When set data 15 (1) 0 0 999 equals x, and exit after confirmation, ODO data is cleared. Display value is 2.1 or 2.2. It 0 2.1/2.2 can not be adjusted. Notes: 1. As parameter no. shows only 1 digital, parameter no.s 10-15 are shown by A, B, C, D, E, F. 2. Please contact manufacturer for ODO clearing code. - 12 - MAXIMUM VALUE 1 The speedometer on this scooter can read faults automatically. Faults code table Fault Code Description 99 Speedometer’s receiving wire is faulty. 98 Speedometer’s sending wire is faulty. 01 Motor’s phase wire is short-circuited. Or the controller is faulty. 02 Twist handlebar is abnormal. 03 Motor’s phase wire is faulty. 04 Motor’s hall sensor is faulty. 05 Brake faulty. 06 Battery is low. 07 Motor is locked. 08 Backup 1 09 Backup 2 Power off automatically If there is no operation to the speedometer and the throttle is released totally (speed is zero) for over 90 seconds, the system will power off automatically to enter into power saving mode. Press button for 3 seconds can turn on the system again. Start up The start method of this scooter is non zero start, which means that before starting the scooter, one foot should be put on the scooter while the other on ground and kick the ground to give assistance to the scooter, then accelerate the scooter by hooking the throttle to start the scooter. After the scooter is started, throttle can be used to control the scooter’s speed. - 13 - MAINTENANCE LUBRICATION 1. Dip into the folding sleeves small quantity of lubrication for maintenance every 6 months. 2. Anti-rust oil can not be used for lubricating. 3. Front wheel, rear wheel, and disc brake do not need lubrication. 4. For any doubts, please consult your dealer. If the scooter can not be operated, please check that you have the following actions done: 1. The power is on. 2. The battery has enough electricity. 3. Brake lever is released. 4. All ports and connectors are clean and well connected. If the faults and damages are caused by the following reasons, it’s not included within warranty coverage even it’s within warranty period: 8.
