Installing the elite Panaboard software
You need to install the elite Panaboard software on every computer that you want to use your elite Panaboard with. Note: don’t connect the elite Panaboard to your computer until the software installation is completed.
Installing the software 1. Double-click the elite Panaboard installer.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions. 3. Restart your computer. You will need to restart your computer to complete installation. After you have installed the elite Panaboard software, you will find the following applications in the elite Panaboard folder, in your Applications folder: • elite Panaboard Calibrate - used to calibrate your elite Panaboard • elite Panaboard Draw - allows you to use your computer with the elite Panaboard as a virtual whiteboard Before you can start using your elite Panaboard, you will need to calibrate it. Calibration is described in the following section.
Removing the software To remove the elite Panaboard software:
1. Double-click the elite Panaboard uninstaller.
2. Restart your computer. You will need to restart your computer to complete removal of the software.

Starting the elite Panaboard software and performing calibration
Before you can use your elite Panaboard, you need to use the elite Panaboard Calibration utility on your computer. The Calibration utility enables your computer to translate the position of the electronic pen on the elite Panaboard into the corresponding position on your computer screen. You will need to perform calibration: • before you use your elite Panaboard with a computer for the first time • whenever you move the projector or elite Panaboard
Calibrating for the first time To calibrate your elite Panaboard:
1. Turn on the elite Panaboard. 2. Connect the elite Panaboard to your computer with the USB cable. The following message will be displayed:.
3. Click “Launch Calibration Utility”. The elite Panaboard Calibration utility will be launched.
4. Click on each calibration point. Carefully click on the centre of each calibration point using the electronic pen, and hold the pen down until the point changes colour.
• Hold the electronic pen at right angles to the board • Make sure you click exactly in the centre of each calibration point • Hold the pen still until the calibration point changes colour

5. Choose whether to save your calibration settings. When you have finished calibrating, the dialog box below will be displayed.
If your elite Panaboard and projector are in a fixed position, you can save your calibration settings so that you don't need to calibrate every time you use your elite Panaboard. If you don't save your calibration settings, you will need to calibrate again each time you restart your computer.
Re-calibrating You will need to re-calibrate if you move your elite Panaboard or projector. You can run the elite Panaboard Calibration utility at any time by: • Double-clicking the the elite Panaboard Calibration icon, in the elite Panaboard folder in your Applications folder. • Clicking the calibrate icon in elite Panaboard Draw

elite Panaboard Draw allows you to draw on your desktop with the electronic pen.

Running elite Panaboard Draw To run elite Panaboard Draw, double click the elite Panaboard Draw icon in the elite Panaboard folder in your Applications folder.
Showing and hiding the tools To hide the tools, click the minimize button. To show them again, either: • click on the tools palette icon in the Dock, if you are in click-through mode • right-click on the desktop, if you are in drawing or white background mode
Setting the background To hide the Mac desktop and draw on a white background, click the white background tool.
To show the desktop, click the tool again.
Drawing Use the drawing tools to choose shapes to draw. You can draw ovals, rectangles, straight lines, or draw freehand.
Choosing a pen Click a pen to choose the pen that you want to draw with.
Changing the pens To change the colour, thickness, and transparency of a pen, click the colour tool.

Then, choose the colour and pen size using the inspector. By setting the opacity, you can create highlighter pens.
Editing Use the eraser to erase parts of your drawing. To change the size of the eraser, use the inspector. You can change the way the eraser works in Preferences.
To erase your whole drawing, click the clear button.
Use these buttons to undo and redo changes.
Saving a snapshot To save a snapshot of the current screen, including whatever applications are visible and any drawing, click the snapshot icon.
Setting snapshot preferences You can specify the format of your snapshots, and where they will be saved. 1. Click the menu button, and then choose Preferences from the menu. The Preferences window is displayed.

Setting eraser preferences You can specify how the eraser works: • Eraser erases pixels means that only the area under the eraser will be erased. Use this option to make the eraser work like a real whiteboard eraser. • Eraser erases objects.means that the whole object drawn under the eraser will be erased. Use this option to erase parts of your drawing more easily.

Controlling PowerPoint presentations
elite Panaboard Draw includes special tools for controlling PowerPoint presentations. You can control a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation from elite Panaboard Draw, and use the drawing tools to draw over your slides. elite Panaboard Draw keeps track of the current slide, and allows you to keep different drawings for different slides.
Starting and stopping a presentation Click the presentation icon to start a presentation. If PowerPoint isn't running, it will be launched, and you will be asked to open a presentation. If PowerPoint is already running, the open presentation will be started. To stop the presentation, click the presentation icon again.
Controlling the presentation Click the Next Slide and Previous Slide icons to control your presentation. elite Panaboard Draw keeps a separate drawing for each slide in your presentation.
Using the white background To hide the presentation and draw on a white background, click the white background tool.
To show the presentation, click the tool again.
Saving a snapshot To save a snapshot of the current screen, including the current slide and any drawing, click the snapshot icon.
Setting snapshot preferences You can specify the format of your snapshots, and where they will be saved. 1. Click the menu button, and then choose Preferences from the menu. The Preferences window is displayed.

Controlling your Mac
You can work control your Mac and work with all your Mac application using elite Panaboard.
Accessing the desktop To switch out of drawing mode and control your Mac, click the arrow tool.
Using the on-screen keyboard Click the keyboard icon to show the on-screen keyboard.
Using handwriting recognition You can use the handwriting recognition built into Mac OS X (called Ink) with your elite Panaboard. To learn more about Ink: 1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu, and then click the Ink icon. 2. Turn on handwriting recognition. 3. Choose “Show Ink Window” from the Ink menu, and then click the Help icon on the Ink toolbar.
