Modular, custom extensibility – fast, straightforward, and easy to plan. An elegantly designed system, the elmeg hybird incorporates expansion modules and flexible user licensing, letting you to customize and add users, SIP clients, or SIP channels. The purely IP-based system still allows you to add conventional interfaces, enabling easy migration from conventional technologies to cutting-edge IP telephony. Expansion modules To implement PRI ports, an optional media gateway is installed upstream of the elmeg hybird. A hybrid PRI bundle with the RT4402 high-end VPN / PRI gateway as either a pure IP or TDM bundle is available from Teldat for this purpose. The IP version is tailored for companies that mainly operate IP devices, while the TDM version was conceived for businesses that mainly use conventional telephones. The bintec RT4402 media gateway also provides a wide range of additional applications. VPN functionality, Internet access gateway operation, and PRI virtualization for fax servers (T.30) are a few examples.
In the new elmeg hybird series systems, the S0 (internal/external) and Up0 ports (internal) have been combined for the first time in a combination S/U interface. This allows you to configure the communications solution using a jumper to your two-wire or four-wire cabling and easily adapt to any future cabling changes. The 8 S/U module and a combination module with 4x S/U and 6x FXS provide flexible extensibility. For scenarios with a large number of analog interfaces (such as hotels), we offer FXS modules with 8 or 16 ports. Module 8FXS for 8 analog subscribers

All subscriber modules can also optionally be equipped with terminal blocks or RJ45 jacks for structured cabling. To ensure forward compatibility, separate expansion slots for optional modules are available. Remote terminal management Selectable operating mode: S0 or Up0 terminal Depending on whether you have two- or four-wire cabling, you can use the switchable interface on the new elmeg S530 and S560 system telephones to select operation as an S0 or Up0 terminal. This makes our communication solution flexible and easy to adapt to your cabling or modify in the future if required. Mobility solution Cordless digital telephony – the new DECT system with DECT over IP The new DECT system is a cordless extension for elmeg hybird systems that easily connects to the hybird through the existing LAN using the SIP protocol. This DECToIP system unites two proven technologies to provide the ideal solution for companies that require both flexibility and mobility. DECT is employed to connect base stations and terminal
devices (good radio coverage and voice quality), and IP is used between the DECT base stations and the elmeg hybird. Radio coverage can be adapted to the site of the installation thanks to the flexibility of positioning base stations and DECT repeaters. Central configuration, excellent voice quality, and ease-of-use characterize this solution. Radio coverage can be extended and optimized as required.
The DECT KWS IP 300 – DECT over IP (single-cell) solution with optional repeaters The KWS IP 300 system is a single-cell system for companies that require a smaller-scale cordless solution. Up to 12 cordless handsets can connect to the base station and up to four voice connections can be used simultaneously. To cover larger outdoor areas or several floors of a building, the radio coverage can be extended with optional repeaters. The DECT KWS IP 6000 – a DECT over IP (multi-cell) solution with optional repeaters The KWS IP 6000 system is a scalable DECToIP multi-cell system for companies that require a comprehensive mobility solution. As required, additional IP base stations and handsets can be added to the system, which consists of an SIP server, voice channel upgrades, base stations, and repeaters. The KWS IP 6000 functions as an SIP server downstream from a hybird 300 or 600. It manages and monitors the connected IP base stations and has 32 voice channels.
The IP base stations have 12 channels each, 11 of which are available for voice communication. The IP base station handles call indication and the voice channels from the KWS server over the air interface to the handsets. The KWS server controls the IP base stations via standard Ethernet LAN cable (CAT5 or better). The IP base station covers a range of roughly 50 m inside buildings and up to 600 m outdoors.

Modern voice applications, CTI, and integration of third-party systems. The new integrated voice applications of the elmeg hybird increase the level of service you can provide callers while reducing your employees‘ workload. Professional greetings together with scheduled and event-based procedures help your company maintain a professional image and provide additional information and convenience to callers. In addition, specialized license-free
applications for restaurants, hotels, and call centers are available. The TAPI/CAPI interface enables connections to databases and ERP/CRM systems (for instance together with the Teldat/ESTOS solution) to provide telephony features that ensure exceptional efficiency and customer service.

Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)

Flexible CTI link to professional data systems: With the new TAPI interface, the elmeg hybird allows you to combine telephony functionality with software systems such as customer databases (CRM), enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), Microsoft Exchange servers, and many more. Not only system telephones, but also analog and ISDN terminals can be utilized. The interface allows TAPI clients to connect over the LAN – with or without a TAPI server.
The elmeg hybird’s newly-developed TAPI interface is 64-bit compatible and enables a wide range of CTI applications. These can be as simple as dialing phone numbers from a desktop computer or caller ID. Other uses include telephony for presence management, CRM system integration, unified messaging, or unified communication systems such as those provided in cooperation with our partner ESTOS.
External application servers with Microsoft Exchange 2007 or later Linking with MS Exchange provides the following unified messaging functions: Voice messaging – voice response or keypad access to e-mails, appointments, contacts, and voice messages with text-to-speech for e-mails. Interactive voice response – messages in e-mail inbox can be managed with voice commands. Answering machine – the Exchange inbox can be used as an answering machine. Auto attendant (16 languages) – transfers calls with the ability to search for entries in address book. Additional server links such as presence, LDAP, CRM, and ERP are under development. The elmeg hybird 300 and 600 are certified for use with the ESTOS ProCall unified communications and CTI solutions. ProCall is designed for companies with communication-intensive business units. The compatibility with ESTOS allows the integration of CTI functionality in numerous applications such as Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, Lotus Notes, Tobit David, and other CRM systems.

The elmeg hybird can connect home offices, mobile employees, part-time external staff, or small branch locations with one or two extensions easily and conveniently to company headquarters using voice over IP. These employees can work from their external locations as if they were located at company headquarters. This provides a range of advantages including participation in teams located at headquarters, presence information for all connected employees, a single company telephone number for customers, telephone calls billed through the company‘s central telephone line, a centralized system telephone book, and the strict separation of private and business lines. It makes no difference to the elmeg hybird if a subscriber is at an on-site extension or located at a branch location or home office. They are a regular part of the system and see no differences in functionality. The advantage is that this solution does not require any modification to the existing telephone infrastructure.
The elmeg hybird communications solution enables employees to access internal telephony and data services from anywhere – a real improvement in flexibility and effectiveness for sales and service. And that saves time and money. Mobile and external devices such as smartphones and laptops are integrated into the elmeg hybird system using the IP infrastructure over the WLAN or as an SIP client. This eliminates the differences between „in the office“ and „on the road“ as far as communication use and availability are concerned. The elmeg hybird also offers simultaneous incoming call indication on both an internal terminal and an external telephone number such as a mobile phone. This setting can be turned on and off by entering a code. The simultaneous call indication activates when the internal subscriber is dialed directly. During the call to the external phone, the call can be put on consultation hold or transferred to other subscribers on the elmeg hybird using DTMF key sequences.

The application enables user-specific client support and is designed for use with up to 50 devices. It becomes easy to allocate and manage devices, enabling superior network administration.
