DVI STANDARD SIGNAL REPEATER
The DVIBOX/1 unit is a DVI-format-based computer and workstation graphic signal repeater. It permits remotization of the video signal at the maximum resolution of 1600x1200 or HDTV 1920x1080 for a total length of up to 30 meters (15 meters in input and 15 meters in output) . Also, as the DVIBOX/1 affords active, digital reconstruction of DVI signals, at each section restart point, the signal is complete; this means that several appliances can be connected in cascade. 2.0 POWER SUPPLY The DVIBOX/1 unit must be powered using the specific AC/DC adapter provided. This must be connected to the 230Vac 50Hz mains supply using the mains cable. The power supply unit is compatible with input voltages of between 100 and 240Vac. The socket of the mains cable must be inserted in the related panel plug on the adapter. The loose 2-pin terminal of the adapter must be connected to the 2-pin terminal on the DVIBOX/1. WARNING Never open or tamper with the external power supply unit!! Any operations on this must be carried out by qualified personnel who must be informed of the risk of electric shock. In some countries, the plug of the cable must be adapted to align this with local standard types. The wires are coded as follows: - Brown PHASE (Identified with the letter L, may be red) - Blue NEUTRAL (Identified with the letter N, may be black) - Yellow/Green GROUND (Identified with the letter E, may be green)

3.0 PRESETS The unit does not require any internal or external presetting before use.
The DVIBOX/1 unit must be powered using the specific AC/DC adapter provided. This must be connected to the 230Vac 50Hz mains supply using the mains cable. The power supply unit is compatible with input voltages of between 100 and 240Vac. The socket of the mains cable must be inserted in the related panel plug on the adapter. The loose 2-pin terminal of the adapter must be connected to the 2-pin terminal on the DVIBOX/1.
4.0 INSTALLATION
WARNING Never open or tamper with the external power supply unit!! Any operations on this must be carried out by qualified personnel who must be informed of the risk of electric shock. In some countries, the plug of the cable must be adapted to align this with local standard types. The wires are coded as follows:
a)
Connect the output of the external power supply unit to the appliance, inserting the loose terminal of the adapter in the specific terminal on the front panel.
b)
Connect the power supply to the mains using the related cable: the green ON light, indicating power present, will switch on.
c)
Connect the DVI cable leading from the output of the computer to the DVI IN connector on the front panel of the appliance. The green LOCK led on the front panel will light up to indicate the presence of an active DVI source at the input.
d)
Connect the DVI cable leading from the destination to be used to the DVI OUT connector on the back of the appliance. The images generated by the computer will be displayed on the destination. WARNING

a) In input, never exceed sections of 15 meters (the maximum distance guaranteed by the DVI system is 10 meters) b) The section of input cable should preferably consist of a single cable and not of sections joined together with extensions as this may result in reduction of the maximum connectable length that can be obtained. c) In output, never exceed sections of 15 meters (recommended - 10 meters) d) If several DVIBOX/1 are connected in cascade, do not exceed the length of 15 meters of the cable between the two repeaters

6.0 NOTES This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase. If the fault in the product is due to improper use or operations carried out by third parties, the warranty is forfeited. During the warranty period, Elpro will repair the faulty units free of charge. The faulty units must be sent CARRIAGE FREE to the Elpro offices in Turin with a regular accompanying note. The units repaired will be returned CARRIAGE FORWARD to the addressee. Outside the warranty period, Elpro will repair the faulty units EX its Turin offices, charging the cost of the repair to the customer.
