Device Specifics EM316GR 1000BaseFX to Single Fiber Gigabit Ethernet Repeater The EM316GR repeater effectively doubles the bandwidth of your fiber plant by repeating a standard 1000BaseFX stream into a single fiber stream, one-half that of competing products. An identical EM316GR unit is required on the other end, using either standard APC (Angled PC) patch cords finish or a 3M VAR APC finish. The standard APC finish provides a <-60dB back reflection, whereas the 3M VAR exceeds –70dB. Both APC finishes are polished to an 8o angle and minimize back reflection by forcing the reflected rays into the cladding. LEDs • PWR/NMS: • LP/BACK: • PLL LOCK: • SD:

NBase Communications EM316GR DX/SX Fiber Driver INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Observe proper ESD precautions before continuing 2. Remove the blank panel from the NC316BU-16 or NC316BU-4-unit 3. Align the edges of the EM316 module to the rail inside the chassis, see pictures below 4. Insert the module into the unit 5. Secure the module to the unit, using the screw on the front panel of the module 6. JP2 is for factory use only
