Overview
Product Overview 1
The ITS series HDD duplicator is specially designed for professional use. The smart Quick Copy (System and Files) mode supports FAT16/32/64, NTFS(Windows), ext2/3/4(Linux), HFS/HFS+/HFX(Mac) formats and can copy only data contained area, which therefore highly increases the production efficiency. Furthermore, the innovated design of interface can help you easily swap HDDs during operation and reduce the time and effort while repairing. The ITS series has ultra high speed, and each interface is independent. That's why no matter are 1 target or 15 targets duplication, it has the same performance of ultra high transmission speed, far beyond PC-based duplicators. Comply with the U.S. Department of Defense's erasing standard (DoD5220.22 M) and Secure Erase (NIST800-88). It is important to make sure the data inside the disregarded HDD will not be retrieved and can be safely transferred.

3 How To Copy HDDs ➌ Auto Skip Lower-Speed HDDs
Set to check HDDs’ lowest tolerance speed. Users can choose “Don’t care” or set the speed value among 10/20/30~300MB/Second. The system will skip any HDD which cannot reach the minimum speed. This setting enables to speed up copying and select HDD speed higher than the setting.
➍ Auto Skip Lower-Speed Source
Users can choose “Yes” or “No” to check speed of source HDDs or don’t check.
⌘ Troubleshooting of Copy Fails ☉☉ Check if too many bad tracks on HDDs cause duplication failures. ☉☉ Check the setting of "6.2 Skip Error". Reset the number to 0 and copy error disks again.
☉☉ Make sure all data cables are properly and firmly connected.

How To Erase HDDs 5 ❶ Quick Erase
The function will ONLY erase the index of the HDD. It is the quickest way to erase HDD. It will damage the data in HDD, please make sure you have backup all important data before using this function.
❷ Full Erase
The function will erase the whole sectors on the target HDD. It will take longer time than quick erase. It will damage the data in HDD, please make sure you have backup all important data before using this function.
❸ DoD Erase
This is to comply with the U.S.A. Department of Defense (DoD 5220) standard to fully erase the HDD three times bit by bit to rewrite HDD to guarantee the data was deleted. It will damage the data in HDD, please make sure you have backup all important data before using this function.
❹ DoD Erase Comp
Besides DoD erase, this function will also execute compare function to make sure the random bit was correctly written. This way of erase is to erase HDD over each sector three times: the first time with zeros (0x00), second time with 0xFF and the third time with random characters. There is one final pass to compare random characters by reading. It will damage the data in HDD, please make sure you have 23

❺ Seven Pass Erase
The mode fully erases the HDD for 7 times bit-by-bit to overwrite HDD data and guarantees data not recoverable. The 7-Pass Erase mode spends 7 times longer than 1-Pass erase mode.
24
How To Erase HDDs 5 ❻ Secure Erase
The international authorized high standard Secure Erase function, it complies with standard of secure erase (NIST 800-88). Secure Erase will remove all data from a drive and will not be recoverable, including hidden, unreachable areas. Even HPA/ DCO or other data area which are not able to load, can be erased all together.
❼ Enhanced Secure Erase
Enhanced Secure Erase complies with advanced standard of secure erase (Extended NIST 800-88). Any HDD with security command supported could execute this mode successfully.
Caution Please DO NOT disrupts Secure Erase/Enhanced Secure Erase during operation. Otherwise, it might cause error on reading the HDDs which cannot be identified by the duplicators and computers. If fails, execute secure erase mode again.
❽ NSA Erase
The NAS erasing mode will overwrite all HDD data, complying with NSA approved standard, NSA clearing and sanitizing standards.
25
6 Update BIOS Update BIOS
⌘ How to Update BIOS There are 2 ways for BIOS update.
❶ Update by HDD Step 1
Prepare one HDD and connect it to source port, then select function "5.2.2 Create Update HDD".
Step 2 Format the HDD
Note ☉☉Before updating firmware, one FAT, 2GB partition will be formatted in HDD. That would reduce searching time, and speed up firmware update. ☉☉The data saved in this HDD will be erased.
Step 3 Download the latest firmware from PC and save it in HDD.
26
Update BIOS 6
Step 4
Insert HDD into source port (first port), select function 5.2.1 Update BIOS. Update would complete in one minute.
❷ Update by USB Drive Step 1 Save the downloaded firmware into USB drive
Note Make sure the partition format of USB drive is FAT16/32.
Step 2 Insert USB drive into USB port at the front of duplicator, then select function 5.2.1 Update BIOS. Update would complete in one minute.
Caution Please do not disrupt during update, otherwise it would cause irretrievable error on duplicator.

FAQ 8
PC-Monitoring FAQ Questions Why duplicator can not execute PC-Monitoring?
Why the monitoring information of LV07H lags, and cannot catch up duplicator?
Answer Make sure USB cable is connected betwenn PC and duplicator. It is recommended to attach USB cable, after that open LV07H. PC-Monitoring consume most of process resource of PC. If PC process ability is low; runs other tasks at the same time, LV07H might lags. It is recommended to run with better process ability PC; not operating other program on PC.
