EndaceODE 4000 Series Open Application Platform EndaceODE™️ appliances are designed to meet the needs of organizations looking to build their own customized packet capture and processing solutions. They are widely used on some of the world’s largest and most complex networks belonging to global telcos, ISPs and MSPs, banks and financial institutions, web and e-commerce giants and governments. EndaceODE appliances combine the guaranteed 100% data capture, proven performance and reliability of Endace DAGTM data capture cards with a highly optimized server platform. They offer a scalable, high-performance platform for use where commodity servers and network interface cards (NICs) simply cannot perform at the speeds or accuracy levels required. EndaceODE appliances have been engineered to handle the demands of continuous packet data processing on multiple 10GbE or SONET OC192/SDH STM64 links. They come with optimized drivers and are designed from the ground up to function as an integrated system that is fully supported by Endace. They run standard Linux operating system (OS) that can be used as is, enhanced or scrubbed, depending on the application requirements. This makes EndaceODE appliances easy to customize, and compatible with a wide range of security and network performance monitoring, archival, lawful intercept and other applications. Powerful EndaceODE 4820 Flexible The compact, 1RU EndaceODE 4820 is designed for telcos, ISPs and MSPs, governments and other organizations that need to process concatenated or channelized SONET/SDH, data flowing on OC192, 10GbE LAN and WAN-PHY links or monitor links in mixed mode environments. When working in 10GbE LAN, 10GbE WAN-PHY and OC192c/STM64c the transmit side can be configured for 10GbE LAN for a unified back-end packet forwarding solution. • Open architecture allows easy integration with in-house The EndaceODE 4820 has four SFP+ monitoring ports which can each be configured for monitoring SONET/SDH or 10GbE links. In SONET/SDH mode the ports support sophisticated dechannelization of SONET OC192 and SDH STM64 down to OC3/ STM1 in any channelization hierarchy while extracting PoS and ATM mapping or just the raw payload. They can also extract SONET/STM overhead fields and deliver them to software without software, without processing, for covert channel analysis. The EndaceODE 4820 supports a variety of bit and byte level capture modes where data is captured “as is” at a user-specified link frequency. This unique feature enables deep level analysis of links for troubleshooting and other forensic purposes. EndaceODE 4640 With eight SFP+ monitoring ports, each individually configurable for monitoring either 1GbE or 10GbE links (four 10GbE ports can also be combined to monitor 40GbE), the EndaceODE 4640 is a high-density, compact 1RU appliance. It provides the perfect platform for building custom 1GbE/10GbE or 40GbE monitoring solutions where rack-space is at a premium.
