PEEK Torlon Rod
PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) high performance thermoplastics are chemical, abrasion and impact resistant. They possess good machineability and self-lubricating properties.
Provides better compressive strength and higher impact resistance than most high performance plastics. Extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion and high creep resistance.,Environmental: Torlon is unaffected by strong acids (pH<3), but ultra violet light and strong alkalis will cause dimensional change. Steam at 160° will cause decomposition.
Victrexᓼ PEEK 450G
High abrasion resistance Good chemical and radiation resistance Impact resistant and easily machineable
Torlon 4301 - Bearing Grade This grade of Torlon is modified with the addition of graphite and fluorocarbon for good wear resistance, low friction and high compressive strength. Applications include bearings, thrust washers, wear pads, and piston rings. Green/Black colour Excellent self-lubricating properties Supplied in lengths of 300mm
Typical applications include valve seats in steam and water mixers, components in a high temperature diesel engine turbo actuators etc. Continuous working temperature approx 250°C No significant degradation in steam or high pressure water environments Can absorb over 1000 Mrads of radiation without appreciable loss of mechanical properties Excellent resistance to a wide range of organic and inorganic liquids, and resistant to all common solvents Fawn in colour Note: No. Per Lot is 1

Glass Filled Nylon 66
Low moisture absorption and good chemical resistance with excellent mechanical strength. Dimensionally stable, suitable for close tolerance components, bearings, bushes, gears, valves and valve seatings. White in colour
Environmental: Glass filled Nylon 66 is unaffected by ultraviolet light. Strong acids (pH>3) will cause dimensional change due to absorption. Strong alkalis (pH>11) have no affect. Hot water and chlorinated hydrocarbons produce signs of mild attack by absorption. High temperature static applications 30% glass filling reinforces stiffness Excellent dimensional stability Increased strength and performance in comparison to standard nylon 66 Black in colour

A general purpose free-machining lead bronze. Although lower in tensile strength than phosphor bronze, it possesses good bearing properties with the ability to conform to minor shaft misalignments. The presence of lead reduces friction, running temperature and the possibility of seizure under conditions of poor lubrication. Supplied in 13in lengths Conforms to SAE 660 (SAE 660 can also be used as an alternative to BS 1400 LB4) Typical applications - bearings, bushes, washers and linings and for conditions with less than adequate lubrication. It may also be used in conjunction with softer shaft materials than would be recommended for the harder lead-free phosphor bronze.
