2-way, bi-amplified active loudspeaker systems
W17As, W14As and W440A stand out for their unique and innovative design which includes 6 sturdy fly points (patented) completely integrated in the cabinet and designed to hang or angle the speaker in the air as required, using any type of hook available on the market. This idea eliminates the need for additional screw-up components and ensures easy, quick and very safe installation in any situation. The robust, lightweight and compact cabinets, made from HD polyethilene by rotational moulding, are equipped with two side handles for easy carry and set-up and with a stand adapter. Their shape allows also horizontal installation for use as stage monitors.

MP6 is equipped with a 15” highefficiency doped paper woofer and a 1” dynamic compression driver loaded by a 90 x 60-degree horn. MP4 houses a 12” high-efficiency woofer and a 1” dynamic
speakers protections and a soft-start circuit to reduce the peak current drain at switch-on. It is controlled by an active processor designed to optimize the linearity of the frequency response as well as the working performance of the system.

EARLY REFLECTIONS Generates the initial part of the reverb without the decaying ‘tail’ of the effect. It makes for thicker and more aggressive sound without increasing its decay time. Usually it is used to colour vocals or horns solos in contemporary productions.

reverb - chorus 24 bit Delta-Sigma 40 Hz ÷ 15 kHz
SLOW ECHO Again, but with longer delay times, hence a more ‘spacious’ flavor to it.
- channels 1 and 2: balanced mic-line input with Neutrik Combo®
SMALL HALO A digital ‘clone’ of the effect built in the Montarbo reverb units of the sixties, a vintage classic that never went out of fashion.
connector (combined XLR + jack) - channels 3-4-5-6 : mic-line/insert Jack inputs. - master section: master volume, auxiliary output with volume,
LARGE HALO Again the previous effect, but slightly more ‘open’.
external effect send with volume, phones output (200 ÷ 600 Ohms) with volume and ‘master/aux’ selector, pre-out/main-in sockets.
PING PONG Basically an auto-panned delay, popular on many rock hits, the samples are being routed alternatively to full left and full right master.
- digital effects processor: program LED display, program selection keys, peak LED indicator, effects ‘on’ switch with LED indicator, parameter control, auxiliary send control (eff-to-aux), tone control, volume control and jack socket for remote on-off switching of the effect. The built-in digital effects processor (based on a 56-bit DSP with 24-bit Delta-Sigma conversion) features 16 basic presets that can be freely altered to create an endless variety of effects. The superb sonic performance conjugate with absolute ease of operation.
ROOM REVERB The typical short reverb, great with percussions.

SLOW ECHO + REVERB Similar to the previous program, but with a longer delay time. It thus plays ‘slower’ and with longer samples.

DUAL PITCH CHANGE A real ‘harmonizing’ effect capable to add two further voices to a monophonic source, panned full left and full right.
- channels 2-3-4: mic-line Jack inputs.
stereo headphones output (200 ÷ 600 Ohms). - effects processor: volume control, Reverb-Chorus selector and jack socket for remote on-off switching of the effect. The processor provides Reverb and Chorus effects.
44
VOICE REVERB Specially tailored to support and enrich the lead vocals.
DETUNE 1 Slightly alters the source tuning to simulate a ‘doubling’ effect. DETUNE 2 It is great with guitars, similar to a Chorus effect, but sometimes even more effective.

a bit of history It was back in the early Fifties that Montarbo’s founder Sergio Montanari started building his first amplification systems under the trade name of Super MB. The Montarbo trademark and logo, the same ones you still find on today’s products, were designed and introduced in 1962. The Company was able to quickly build up a solid reputation thanks to a very special product, a piece of equipment that was so innovative and unique that it made the firm famous throughout Italy and the rest of the world: a six-channel powered mixer incorporating a 100W power amplifier and a magnetic memory echo unit into a portable metal case (featuring lids that doubled as supports when opened). A groundbreaking Montarbo patent, this magnetic memory echo unit required no cleaning or maintenance as it had completely eliminated the problem of mechanical friction – unlike the tape-based echo units common at that time. In 1965 Montarbo introduced the world’s first active loudspeaker.
