English User Manual SP130 Speaker Stand 30 lbs (13.6 kg) SPEAKER STAND CAUTION The maximum loading weight is 30 lbs (13.6 kg). This speaker stand is intended for use up to the maximum weights indicated. Use with products heavier than the maximum weights indicated may result in instability causing possible injury. Supporting your digital lifestyle™ Introduction Thank you for choosing a Kanto AV Systems speaker stand. Each SP130 will hold a speaker weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg) at 27.5” (70cm) off the ground to deliver ideal acoustically isolated sound. Each stand features four adjustable-height, knurled pin-point isolation feet for use in carpeted rooms, and optional floor plates to use on solid surfaces. Read these instructions fully before assembly of this stand. Make sure there are no defective or missing parts. Do not use defective parts. Supplied Parts and Hardware x4 A: M8 x 25mm flange bolt B: M8 x 35mm bolt x4 E: Floor Plates C: M8 washer set x4 x4 F: Rubber Feet G: Large Rubber Pads I: Speaker Plate D: Pin-point Isolation Feet H: 5mm Allen Key J: Glass Base K: Tube 2 Step 1: Attach Speaker Plate to Tube Attach the Speaker Plate (I) to the Tube (K) with the M8 x 25mm flange bolt (A), using the supplied Allen Key (H) as shown in Diagram A. The tube is symmetrical, so you can attach at either end. Be sure to install with the recess in the Speaker Plate to the top so that the bolt will fit flush. Be sure to orient the cable routing hole in the tube towards the back. A K Diagram A I H Step 2: Attach Base to Tube Attach the Glass Base (J) to the Tube (K) by inserting the M8 x 35mm bolt (B) through the metal and plastic washer set (C), through the glass base and into the tube. Tighten using the supplied Allen Key (H), as shown in Diagram B. Be sure to orient the glass with the Kanto logo facing upwards, and front, and the cable C routing hole in the tube B towards the back. K Diagram B J H Step 3: Attach Feet to Base Install the four pin-point isolation feet (D) to the bottom of the glass base, as shown in Diagram C. These feet will ensure that your speaker stand makes contact with the substrate beneath your carpeted surface. Adjust the feet to ensure the stand is level. Diagram C F D Step 4: Add Options If you are placing your speaker stands in a room with a hard surface such as wood or concrete, use the included floor plates (E) with large rubber pads (G) to support the pin-point feet, as shown in Diagram D. Adjust the feet to ensure the stand is level. If desired, use the rubber feet (F) on top of your Speaker Plate, as shown in Diagram D, to cushion your speakers and prevent slippage. The SP130 includes two slots in the speaker plate so that you can use screws to affix your speaker to the stand for added security. Route your speaker wires through the holes in the tube. Warranty Limited Warranty To Original Purchaser Kanto AV Systems (Kanto) warrants the equipment it manufactures to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the following limited warranty period of: 24 months parts and labour If equipment fails because of such defects and Kanto or an authorized dealer is notified within 24 months from the date of shipment with proof of original invoice. Kanto will, at its option, repair or replace the equipment, provided that the equipment has not been subjected to mechanical, electrical, or other abuse or modifications. Equipment that fails under conditions other than those covered will be repaired at the current price of parts and labor in effect at the repair. Such repairs are warranted for 90 days from the day of reshipment to the original purchaser. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including without limitation, any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose, all of which are expressly disclaimed.
