Connections Safety and Warning Information Connect the DIN Rail, via the Model 2A09 End Clamp, to Protective Earth (PE) ground with low impedance. ATEX Specific Conditions of Use Modules shall be installed in an enclosure which maintains an ingress protection rating of IP54 and meets the enclosure requirements of EN60079-0 and EN60079-15. The EOTec modules shall be installed in DIN rail with DIN end clamps mounted on both sides of the module set. The DIN rail must be connected to Protective Earth in order to provide modules with a Protective Earth connection. Do not disconnect equipment connections or modules when energized. Note: Use shielded cable for all connections. Publication Number: RM0900219 Rev. 0 Provides transfer of two additional channels of contact closure information from a mated receive module Operation Installation Description: The CC-I module provides for two additional independent channels of dry contact closure input signals. These signals are transferred to a mated transmit module via the module's integrated BUS interconnections. There they are multiplexed and conditioned for transmission over a single fiber optic output. The optical signal transferred to the partnered receiver module is then de-multiplexed and the actuation signals are transferred to their respective CCO module's relay outputs. Closing a contact at an input causes a Form-C (SPDT) relay at the partnered output module to energize. Assembly: Place the top lip of the module's DIN rail I/O Maximum: Up to four CC-I modules may be mated with the transmit module and up to four CC-O modules may be mated with the receive module to increase the number of multiplexed contact closure channels to a total of ten. Compatibility: While the EOTec CC Multi-Channel Contact Closure series may look similar to the EOTec 2000 Multi-Channel Contact Closure series. The CC series has advanced firmware which allows them to pass regulatory testing. DO NOT mix modules between the two series. Operational Settings Opening: Use a small screwdriver to press on the latches (indentations) at the top and bottom of the housing. Partially slide the housing open. mounting channel onto the DIN rail. Push the lower portion of the module towards the mounting surface until it "clicks" and locks into place. Firmly slide the modules together such that the module sides are touching ensuring a good connection of the10+2 integrated BUS interconnection at the rear of the modules. Install End Clamps (Model 2A09) to both sides of the module bundle to prevent accidental unplugging of the BUS interconnections. The End Clamps also provide convenient screw terminals for connecting the DIN rail to Protective Earth (PE) ground. Dismantle: Remove the End Clamps from the module bundle. Disconnect the BUS interconnections by sliding the modules at least 1/2" apart from each other on the DIN rail. Insert a screwdriver into the rectangular hole in the metal mounting latch at the bottom of the module. Pushing up on the screwdriver's handle causes the latch to move downward and disengages it from the DIN rail. Tilt the module up and lift it off of the DIN rail. Power: The operating power to the CC series output module is transferred via the 10+2 integrated BUS interconnections to all adjacent modules. This is achieved using any CC series receive module (CCRM85; RX13) or n addition to a receive module can be optionally powered via the same interconnection from any EOTec 2000 power supply (2A06; 2A016, 2A08, 2A18) to create an AC input source or redundant DC power source. Regulatory Information Module Selection Jumper: Each CC-O output module must be set to the same number as its partnered CC-I input module on the opposite end of the fiber link.
