Place the EPD into the LDS base
Tighten EPD clamp handle
Place face rest pillow on velcro fasteners
Place sternum pillow on velcro fasteners

POSITIONING Strategies
STEP 1 Have the patient sit squarely on a bed or gurney and roll the Epidural Positioning Device in front of the patient Weight Limit 500 lbs. You must use Sani-Cover Disposable Face Rest Covers to ensure patient safety & not void your lifetime warranty.
STEP2 Pushing downward on the locking break lever locks the two casters in a row. Lock both sets of casters. You must lock both casters to ensure patient safety.
STEP 3
Adjust Epidural Positioning Device (EPD) to the proper height by turning the lever counter clockwise to loosen. Raise or lower EPD to proper height for patient. Adjust the height of the EPD so the head rest is slightly below the level of the patient’s head. Lock to EPD into place by turning adjustment lever clockwise to tighten.

STEP 4 Invite the patient to lean slightly into the EPD with their face resting comfortably in the face cradle and arms placed on the arm rest.
STEP 5 Adjust the face rest by lifting the handle. The face rest is made for a full range of motion and comfort. If necessary, you can adjust the face rest by lifting the handle. Always use Sani-Cover Disposable Face Rest Covers.
STEP 6 Adjust the foot rest by pulling out Indexing Foot Rest Plunger and raise or lower the platform to obtain proper spinal curvature.

STEP 7 Loosen the chest support sternum pillow and advance with gentle pressure until optimal spinal curvature is attained and tighten the lock into place.
STEP 8 After the procedure, have the patient lean back in a normal sitting position. Unlock the wheels by lifting up on the locking brakes lever. Roll the EPD Package 2 out of the way.
