Power Clean
1200 XT Box Extractor Specifications Innovative The Power Clean 1200 XT is one of our most dependable box style carpet extractors. Supplying high suction makes this machine a great buy. Innovative air intakes use the vacuum’s own cooling fan to pull cool outside air over the vacuum motors. This innovation reduces motor temperatures by up to 18 percent. The heated air pressurizes the motor cavity forcing the hot air to be expelled through the six slotted vents.
Well Designed Fully portable, constructed of lightweight rotational molded polyethylene for maximum strength and maneuvers on large rear wheels and 3 inch double ball bearing casters. The semi-pneumatic wheels provide a smooth, quiet operation.
Molded-in Air Deflector Molded-in air deflector reduces turbulence within the recovery tank

The actuator moves only when the brush adapting requirements are higher. The system allows the brush: • To immediately and constantly follow all types of surfaces. • To self adjust brush pressure until the brush is completely worn out. No need to check brush wear as brush replacement is indicated automatically on the control panel display. * Gladiator 1050 Ride-On , Gladitator 1202 & Gladiator 1404 only.

Posi-WrapTM Separators Low Maintenance
Predictable and efficient battery maintenance system for inspecting electrolyte levels that signals when watering is required. • White: Add water. • Green: No water needed. • Black: Replace battery.
• • •
The envelop separators reduce maintenance and prevent failure due to a short-circuiting and plate shredding, therefore ensuring reliability and durability.
Heat-sealed case and cover. Heavy and thick plates. Heavy duty connectors deliver maximum electrical efficiency and durability. Plate design offers superior performance and durability.
•
Container design provides more electrolytes above the battery plates so batteries can perform longer between watering intervals, lowering preventive maintenance cost.

The dual purpose design delivers deep discharge service. The computer-cast power path grids assures the highest quality amd optimum performance. The tank formed plates maintains the highest quality and most consistent performance.
Low Discharge Rate Offer a very low self-discharge rate (from 1% to 3% per month) so they can sit in storage for much longer periods without charging.

2. Setting up the batteries 1. Install the batteries after full charge. 2. Turn on the machine and wait for 5 seconds. 3. Press together the buttons B and C for at least 5 seconds, to get in program mode. 4. Select by using button C the type of battery (ACd or GEL) 5. Press together the buttons B and C for at least 5 seconds, to save the changes and exit.
3. AGM Battery Care & Maintenance/ TCL Technology New batteries shall be given a full charge before use. Battery cables shall be intact, and the connectors kept tight at all times. Dustbane recommends using 60% to 80% of power before recharging is carried out. Discharging of less than 50% and not recharging 100% will result in stress on the battery and reduce battery life. TCL technology is now available on new charger. This “Topping-Up Charge Limiter” technology limits the topping-up charges, making it possible to double the expected battery life. By not allowing the charging of the batteries until more than 50% of the available charge is used it reduces the chances of “short charging” batteries. A cycle is intended in a nearly total discharge of the battery plus its total re-charges once again. The declared cycles of a battery equal the declaration of its life; for example 100 cycles corresponds to 100 discharges and relative recharges. Unlike the “material handling” field, in which traction batteries are developed for an average use of at least 5 hours, the young professional cleaning machine field has an average use of less than 2 hours. The international norms in force make battery manufactures declare the number of cycles connected to a discharge in 5 hours. The “Cleaning” machinery market cannot (if not for a limited number of larger machinery requirements) recognize such discharge rate, as the machines are used on average for 2 hours. At this point the cycles of a battery become much more important, as they are a lot less than what is declared, respecting the international norms in force. Also the way the battery is used has an important impact on its life scale. Obtaining the best out of a battery cycle means two things; discharge the battery nearly to its minimum, and then re-charge it once again to its total initial charge. A disorderly discharge and charge can not only reduce consistently the life of the battery, but also make the battery loose its total charge during the life time of the battery. Battery chargers shall be matched to fully charge batteries in an eight-hour period and the charge cycle must be allowed to continue until finished. Avoid charging at temperatures above 120ºF or ambient, whichever is higher. Never put a new battery in a pack which has 50 or more cycles. Either replace with all new or use a good used battery(s). Complete cycle The battery is discharged until 80%, and then re-charged totally.
Discharge
Charge Incorrect cycle
The battery is not discharged totally before being re-charged.
4. Lead-Acid Battery Care & Maintenance New batteries shall be given a full charge before use. Battery cables shall be intact, and the connectors kept tight at all times. Vent caps shall be kept in place and tight at all times. Water used to replenish batteries should be distilled or treated water only. Batteries should be watered after charging, however if plates are exposed they must be covered by 1/8” water before start of charge cycle. After charging check acid level. The acid level should be kept 1/4” below the bottom of the fill well in the cell cover. Batteries should never be discharged below 80% of their rated capacity. Dustbane recommends using all available 80% of power before charging is carried out, but no more. Discharging of repeatedly less than 50% will result in less battery life. Battery chargers shall be matched to fully charge batteries in an eight-hour period and the charge cycle must be allowed to continue until finished. Switching off a charger before end of cycle will reduce life of battery. Cycles and hours of use are measurable to calculate proper care of batteries. Avoid charging at temperatures above 120ºF or ambient, whichever is higher. Never put a new battery in a pack which has 50 or more cycles. Either replace with all new or use a good used battery(s).
5. Ageing Batteries As batteries age, their maintenance requirements change. This means longer charging time and/or higher finish rate (higher amperage at the end of the charge). Usually older batteries need to be watered more often. And, their capacity decreases.
CAUTION
• Always use a matched voltage charger and battery pack system. An undersized charger will never get the job done, no matter how long you let it run. An oversized charger will cause excess gassing and heat; this situation could cause explosions or other damage. • Batteries must be charged in a vented area.
