Equipment for people with hearing impairments The Powertel 90 Phone The Powertel 90 is an easy to use amplified telephone offering very good amplification. This phone does not need mains power and yet has a volume that can be increased up to 40dB using the boost facility. It is hearing aid compatible, for those hearing aid wearers with a T setting. Sonic Bomb Jr The Sonic Bomb Jr. Alarm Clock is designed for, and loved by, both boys and girls of all ages. It is easy to use, has a strong vibrating pad and loud alarm. The volume and tone can be adjusted for the alarm. It has flash, vibration and sound alerts. There is also a nine minute snooze button. Echo Chime 300 Vibrating Pager Receiver This is a portable pager that alerts its wearer to the front door and, if needed, also the telephone. When activated, it alerts its wearer by means of sound and vibration. It runs on two AA batteries. July 2017 Echo Chime 300 The Echo Chime 300 is a wireless flashing door bell system, which alerts you to persons who call at your door by means of a flash, a loud ring, or both. It can also be used with an attachment that will alert you to the telephone when it is ringing. EchoLink The EchoLink is a TV listening device which uses infra red signals to transmit sound from your TV. It consists of a transmitter that is connected to your TV by means of a scart connecter or phono plugs. The receiver which is no larger than a small mobile phone has a headphone socket for either head phones stethoset or a neck loop. With the receiver you can control your personal listening volume irrespective of what the volume is set to on the TV. The TV can be set on mute and the wearer can still hear it while using EchoLink. Sound quality is good and there is a tone adjuster. Echo Sound Sensor The Echo Sound Sensor is designed to be used to alert its user to an intercom system. Its built in microphone is able to detect the buzzer or bell and transmit a signal to the Echo Chime 300 or vibrating pager. It can be paired with the Echo 300 door chime or vibrating pager. July 2017
