Switch ON your car radio and select CD changer as source.This is usuallydone by pressingth€ CDC or CD bulton, or pressing the CD button twice. lf in doubt consult the audio section of vour car's instruction manual. Connect your iPod or USB storageto the Gateway.lt will start playingthe first song on the device.In case the Gateway has been in use earlier,music will play from your iPod or USB from the pointthey last played.lf both are connected,the one that was used last will continue. Switchingoff the car or the radio will stop playbackand put the sourcedevlcesto stand-by, Next / Back and Random/ Repeat/ Scan buttons(radio dependent)work as expected.

You can choose Folders (assigned in alphabetically order) stored in the root directory by using the CD selectionbuttons.

iPod User Interface(iPod Ul) iPod cateway Interface(iPod cW)
In iPod Ul mode the originaluser interfacoof the iPod remaina actlve (i.e. th€ click wheel still works) so you can use it for browsingas normal. During playbackthe Radio displays CD5. The shown track numbersand time counter are not synchronlzed with the iPod. We recommend to use this mode if you want use the originaliPodfunctionality.
During playback the Radio displays CD and Track numbersand the elapsedtime of the actualsong (Radio dependent),Whsn CD1 to CD4 selected,you can jump to tho next or prBvioussubfolderby FF / REW function button. Tips and Trlcks: o

You can easily define how the CD selection button8get asslgnedby namingthe Foldersas: 1Rock, 2-Blues, 3-Pop, etc. Dependlngon the capacityof the USB drive the whols database building may take some time. Durlngthls processyou may not have an access thor€for€ alternatively you can use our Gateway Indox€r Software to speed up this indexing orocedure
