(Projection Screen Manufacturer) – Since the recent launch of Euroscreen’s environmentally-friendly screen surface, Xpert, the positive response from the industry has just kept on coming. Not only has the unique surface been acknowledged for superior lay flatness at AV events but traders have also found great value in being able to offer a PVC-free and environmentally friendly product to the projection market. Rickard Bengtsson, Customer Service Manager for Euroscreen® products, comments: “It is now possible for dealers to present a more environmentally friendly option for their clients, which increases the demand for the product itself and also a shared green sustainable initiative. A majority of the enquiries I receive on the Xpert surface is aimed for AV installations in educational sites like elementary schools and universities. Second most popular business areas are hotels and conference facilities which are indeed striding to be green certificated these days as a very important feature in their marketing strategy.” So, what is this Xpert surface? Well, it is a screen fabric that is 100% PVC-free and manufactured without using hazardous substances. While it is an environmentally-friendly viewing surface, Xpert does not sacrifice quality and effectiveness and it also has a B1 flame retardant rating. The polyester fabric features a two-side polymer coating with a matt white woven front projection surface that includes a specially developed pattern structure to spread the projected light in all directions over the surface for an optimal projection to the audience. This pattern base also provides superior diffusion in the projected image, performing even better than the 1080 compliance standard. The fabric is also supplied with a white opaque backing for superior blocking of incoming light from behind. Euroscreen® offers the Xpert surface as an option in several motorised projection screen models up to 300cm in width, available in 1:1, 4:3, 16:10 and 16:9 projection formats, with or without black borders.
