CHapter ONE 4 Things you NEED to know before you switch to eRiding
1
Where do you mostly ride?
Here at FLX Bike, we think that every rider is special. Before you buy an electric bike, you should determine which FLX Bike was made for you. You may want to ask yourself:
• Do you prefer hill or flat cycling?
• Are you a speed demon or cruiser?
• How far do you ride? • What kind of terrain do you mostly ride on?
Depending on your answers you can choose from the three FLX models we created:
FLX Roadster FLX Trail FLX Attack

TAKE THE QUIZ
When choosing the right electric bike, the battery quality can make all the difference. It is important to know that your bike is reliable and you can enjoy a smooth ride to your final destination. FLX Bikes use the highest quality lithium batteries available. They are powered by the same battery cells as the Tesla model S. (Panasonic cells for the 17Ah extended battery and Samsung cells for the 13Ah)

Here are a few facts about the batteries integrated in each FLX model:
• More kilowatt hours than any other bike of its class. • Top speed of 37 mph (60 kph). • 46 MILE range (64 KILOMETERS) on full power. • 36V, 13Ah (468Wh) or the 36V, 17Ah (612Wh) upgrade. • Charge time under 5 hours with our smart charger. • Removable.
PRO TIP THE BATTERY HAS A USB port SO YOU CAN CHARGE YOUR Phone up to 70 times!

MOTOR
There are three options when it comes to motor positioning. Most eBikes use a front or rear hub motor, mounted inside the wheel. This motor is typically cheap and less efficient. At FLX Bikes we use a Mid Motor, mounted in between the pedals. This enables the motor to take mechanical advantage of the 9 speed Shimano gears, allowing you to climb hills easier and hit top speeds quicker. 5 levels of pedal assist give you complete control of how much effort you want to put in.

CHapter three The PROS Owning Electric Bike The PROS ofof Owning anan FLX Electric Bike • You can ride a FLX Bike up to 46 miles on full power (pedal assist level 5) and 85-100 miles when you ride in pedal assist level 2 or 3. No other eBike in this category can beat the actual range of FLX. • The power of the electric motor will encourage you to take longer, more daring bicycle trips without the worry of getting tired. • Effectively flatten out hills with the help of the electric motor. • You can vary the amount of effort you want to put in by increasing or decreasing the level of pedal assist. • FLX Bikes allow riders who are physically less able or out of shape to keep up with younger and fitter people. • They are cool - Be ready to answer questions to the many curious onlookers that are interested in what you are riding and how it works. • It can require little to no effort to ride. Just push the throttle and steer the bike where you want to go. • FLX Bikes have higher top speeds than a normal bicycle with the same rider. • The mid-motor design provides a centralized weight distribution and zero rolling resistance allowing you to ride an FLX just like a regular bike, with or without power. • Save money on tax, insurance, parking fees, etc. and also avoid the congestion by commuting with your FLX.

CHapter four FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Rather than continue to tell you what we think you want to hear, we decided to share with you what questions actual customers ask the most often. Here are 10 of the most common questions we receive: 1. How can I order a FLX Bike and how fast can I get it? You can order your FLX Bike on our online store, where you can select the color, configuration and additional accessories. If your bike is made to order you can expect delivery in 8-12 weeks from the date of purchase, however if the bike is in stock, it will ship from a local warehouse 2-5 days after receiving your order.
2. Do I get a warranty? What if something breaks? Absolutely. We’re extremely confident in the bikes’ build quality and sourced components. All bikes come with a fully comprehensive one year warranty. We will ship you replacement parts free of charge.
3. Do I need a license to ride an eBike? FLX bikes are legal and classified as an electric bike almost everywhere, and as such don’t require a special license. There are a few jurisdictions with more specific laws and we recommend to check those before purchasing.
4. How much do they weigh? FLX bikes are very lightweight considering the technology packed in them. Their weights with battery are as follows: FLX Roadster – 46 lbs, FLX Trail – 51 lbs, FLX Attack – 52 lbs.
5. Will FLX fit me? All our bikes have a 19” (48cm) frame. The ergonomic design comfortablly acommodates riders from 5’2” to 6’4” (157cm to 193cm).
13
6. Can you charge the bike by pedaling to increase range? Because the efficiency of dynamos and motors is only in the 80-90% range, such a system could only convert ~80% of the energy you put into pedaling into motion. On the other hand, if you simply used this energy to propel the bike, you can put almost 100% of that energy into motion. Put simply, the bike is simpler and will go further without this system. 7. Can I get any accessories for my bike? Yes. 90% of the bike is designed just like a regular bike, meaning you can change components or add accessories as you wish. 8. What happens if I get a Puncture? Quick release wheels, front and rear, means changing a flat on a FLX is exactly the same as on a standard bike. 9. How much maintenance does the motor require? The motor is maintenance free. However, if needed, the entire motor can also be removed and replaced simply by taking out a couple of bolts instead of dealing with the complexities of replacing a hub motor. 10. Can the bike get wet? Yes, these bikes are built to be ridden in any weather. They do have electrical components though so should always be stored inside for extended periods.
