Extending Broadcast Success Over Any IP Network
VideoFlow’s Digital Video Protection (DVP) products extend professional broadcast service success over any IP network; opening opportunities to deliver reliable broadcast service at a fraction of the cost of satellite, fiber, or leased lines.
Service Continuity is considered equally important, if not more important than Video Quality, as loss of service directly translates into lost revenue. VideoFlow’s DVP products employ state-ofthe-art innovative algorithms, features, and toolsets effectively protecting Video Quality and maintaining Service Continuity under the most demanding network conditions. Key Benefits Maintain Service Continuity VideoFlow products protect your revenue stream by maintaining Service Continuity of broadcast services over any IP network. VideoFlow DVP features and toolsets include, adapting the video rate to changes in network resources, network resources sharing to increase connection stability, and the tools to establish non single point of failure (NSPOF) network architectures.
Effective Video Quality Protection The effectiveness of VideoFlow’s state-of-the-art Video Quality protection algorithms have been proven to add a very low overhead, with the shortest delay in the market and the fastest recovery time, while minimizing the effect of lost packets recovery retransmission on the IP network load. VideoFlow’s algorithms include accurate packet timing recovery by locking to either the video stream PCR or to the stream packet rate, thereby effectively eliminating packet jitter.
Lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) VideoFlow DVP allows for reducing the TCO, beyond just replacing expensive infrastructures with lower cost IP-based connections. Included are features that lower the cost of the day-to-day operation by providing effortless connectivity requiring minimal IT resources, stream monitor in real time and graphic network statistics (GNS) to minimize the time to resolve any issue and resume normal operation. In addition in-band monitoring and management of remote DVPs are available to the DVP in a central site.
Increase Revenues Loss of service adversely impacts revenue due to lower customer satisfaction, which can be attributed to the loss of advertising revenue. By adding redundancy higher “up time” is ensured, thus significantly lowering the possibility of loss of service. VideoFlow’s DVP Service Continuity features and toolsets are specifically designed to maintain the highest level of service availability. It opens new markets previously out of reach, due to either infrastructure costs, or the availability of reliable connections. New markets which are now be connected over any IP network, including the public Internet, will enrich content portfolio addressing the interests of new audiences.
Low Cost of Change VideoFlow’s DVP cuts the cost of change and accelerates ROI by broadcasting over IP-based infrastructures, without the need of changing your broadcast equipment. VideoFlow DVP is equipment vendor independent, encoding/decoding technology independent, as well as video format independent be it MPEG2, MPEG4/H.264, or HEVC/H.265, at any resolution including SD, HD, 4K, and 8K. Just as important is VideoFlow’s DVP enables long-term growth strategy which allows for easily adding capacity or new features to meet future network broadcast service requirements.
