Instructions on how to connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth using the pairing feature of the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. (All examples shown are using the COMAND system) For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to be successful Bluetooth must be turned on in your mobile phone. Please make sure to also read the operating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone. Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II with the mobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth. Step 1 To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system press the “TEL” key on the radio. Step 2 Select the "Telephone" application located in the lower left corner. Step 3 Select the "Bluetooth telephones" application. Mercedes-Benz 1 Step 4 Select “Options” Step 5 Select "External authorisation". Step 6 The display of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system will show "Ready for external authorisation". Now the system is ready for a new Bluetooth connection. Mercedes-Benz 2 Step 7 (to be performed on your Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II) From the main screen of your mobile phone, 1. Push the "Menu" button and select "Settings" 2. Select the option “Wireless and network” 3. Select the option "Bluetooth settings" 4. Select the option "Bluetooth", to turn on Bluetooth. 5. Select “Search for devices” 6. Select “MB Bluetooth” Step 8 Confirm the authorization the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II by selecting "Yes". The name of your mobile phone will be displayed where “GT-I9100G" is shown. Step 9 Pass code is required to input. Mercedes-Benz 3 Step 10 Input any pass code (e.g.0000). Then select the option “ok”. Step 11 (to be performed on your Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II) Input the same pass code on your phone and then press Ok. If there are any additional pop-ups on your Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II, select ok to enable these features. Step 12 Wait for authorization to finish. Step 13 After your mobile phone is authorized successful and successfully connected via Mercedes-Benz 4 Bluetooth to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system the name of your mobile phone (GT-I9100G) will be displayed in the top middle of the screen. Mercedes-Benz 5
