Only Class 3 (III) hitches utilize our anti‐wobble bolt or optional silent hitch pin. The anti‐ wobble bolt comes with the adapter assembly and is partially installed. Take the bolt out  and align adapter with the proper hole in the hitch. (You may have to move the spring  nut to align with the proper hole.)  Replace bolt and tighten.    Adjust to your vehicle, Placing adapter as close to vehicle’s bumper as possible.  Align hole in  your adapter with hole in vehicle’s receiver hitch.  ™ Locate 4” anchor pin (large oblong handle), take off safety clip and set pin aside.  ™ Align Platform pivot hole to adapter pivot hole.       ™ Place 3 1/2” bolt with lock nut into pivot hole and finger tighten nut.          ™ Fold the carrier up into the storage position and insert the anchor pin into the storage position  hole.    ™ Insert support bolt and finger tighten nut.    ™ Remove anchor pin and carefully lower platform to the carry position, then re‐install the anchor  pin into the carry position hole and install the safety clip.    ™ Tighten bolts and nuts so that the platform is held in place securely, but still pivots freely.    ™ The loading ramp was shipped to you locked in the storage position.  Walk to rear of platform,  looking at platform from rear to front towards your vehicle.      ™ Locate ramp latch pin (spring loaded pin welded to ramp on passenger side, rear most section of  platform).  Remove safety spring clip.      ™ Locate ramp handle on left end (driver’s side) of ramp.    ™ Grasp ramp Handle in Left hand pulling up very slightly, pull ramp latch pin towards vehicle until  you can open ramp, approximately 1 to 2 inches.  Release ramp latch pin.  Open ramp carefully  towards passenger side utilizing both hands until ramp is on the ground.      ™ Locate ramp bracket (looks like a hockey stick) attached to platform with zip/cable ties.  It has  two bolts with nuts and washers attached.    ™ Remove nuts, washers, and bolts from Ramp Bracket.      ™ Place Ramp bracket on right rear exterior of platform, (handle of hockey stick pointing up & fat  blade side pointing to drivers side.)  Align 2 holes on hockey stick with carrier platform.  Place  two bolts that were on ramp bracket (hockey stick) back into the aligned holes and tighten.   (Corner closest to the bumper shown)    ™ Carefully lift ramp by handle with both hands.  Upon reaching apex of hinge (weight load  lightens), pull ramp latch pin and align ramp latch pin with hole in ramp bracket.  Secure ramp in  upright position by releasing ramp latch pin and ensuring pin locks into ramp bracket.  Small  adjustments of the ramp bracket (hockey stick) may be needed to ensure snug fit to ramp.  If  needed, loosen bolts slightly and adjust ramp bracket to allow for snug fit of ramp latch pin to  ramp bracket.  Tighten bolts.    ™ Attach enclosed reflectors to rear of carrier platform by removing adhesive backing and  pressing firmly into desired location.    ™ Your carrier installation is complete.           ™ To lower your ramp for loading, hold onto ramp and pull ramp latch pin towards vehicle.  Ramp  is released and you can carefully guide to ground with both hands.  Guide scooter/power chair  up ramp and onto platform.  (Do not drive onto platform!)  Secure as desired or per  manufacturer specification utilizing straps, etc.     ™ To raise ramp for travel, with scooter/power chair on platform, lift ramp with both hands.   When near apex of hinge (weight is lessened by hinge nearly vertical), hold ramp with one hand  and pull ramp latch pin.  Secure ramp latch pin into top hole of ramp bracket (hockey stick).   Ensure pin is seated and install safety spring clip.  Ramp is ready for travel.    ™ To fold up carrier towards vehicle (no scooter or power chair on platform), pull ramp latch pin  out and fold loading ramp onto platform (toward driver’s side).   Just before ramp reaches  platform, pull ramp latch pin and place into hole in ramp bracket & carrier side wall.  Ensure pin  is seated through both.  Make sure platform is clear of items.  Remove anchor pin from carry  position hole (big pin with handle and safety clip), near front of platform.  Once anchor pin is  removed, the platform is not secure.  Walk to rear of carrier platform, looking towards front of  vehicle, Carefully Lift platform up towards sky and platform will hinge towards front of vehicle.   Utilize your legs.  If you are unsure if you are able to lift platform, have an additional person  help you.  Once platform is vertical or just past, continue holding platform and insert anchor pin  into storage position hole, then reattach safety clip to anchor pin.  Carrier is secure and ready  for travel.    DO NOT DRIVE YOUR DEVICE ONTO THE PLATFORM    GUIDE ONLY    Limited Warranty EZ Carrier LLC This product is warranted to be free from any defect in materials used in the manufacture, and/or workmanship at the time of its manufacture. Safety Considerations: Stopping distance – a carrier and cargo add weight to the vehicle and lengthens the time and distance that it takes to stop. Be sure to review the guidelines provided by your automobile manufacturer’s manual and adjusts your riding accordingly, allowing extra time and distance for slowing and stopping. Passing – due to the extra weight of the carrier and cargo, be sure to allow extra time and space for passing. The combination of carrier and cargo extend the length of your vehicle and should be considered when merging and passing. Tire Maintenance – be sure tires are inflated to the proper p.s.i. Consult your automobile manufacturer’s operations manual for recommendations. Check your hardware – make sure all hardware is tightened and secure prior to beginning any trip. Alterations – changing, adding to, or removing parts of a carrier may adversely affect the handling of the product and is strongly not advised.
