They allow the distribution of the fieldbus trunk to a number of branch lines (spurs) for the connection of fieldbus devices. Composition Each spur is individually monitored for short circuits. Thus a fault at one spur does not have any negative feedback on the remaining segment. Each spur is designed for the connection of one field device. The trunk can be looped through. The versions R-JBSC-* are designed for cabinet installation on DIN mounting rails. For installation in the field several housing types with different cable glands as well as plug connections are available. A switchable fieldbus terminator is integrated.
