FAQs about InScenio FM-Master WLAN Online version 2.0 1) What is the standard password (factory default) for the FM-Master WLAN? oase1234 2) Direct connection to the FM-Master WLAN (Access Point mode) exists. The indicator lamp is continuously illuminated green. Why is the range limited? - Please note that according to the operating manual the maximum range is 80 m. - Please ensure that the WLAN antenna is mounted correctly. - Point the FM-Master or the WLAN antenna in the direction of the mobile end device to ensure an optimal connection. - Sources of strong wireless signals in the immediate vicinity can affect the range; change the WLAN channel under Settings. The selected wireless channel should have as little traffic as possible. - Please check the following: Is there a natural obstacle that has grown? Have you made structural modifications that could block the signal? 3) A router connection is not possible. How can I establish a connection? Please note: The SSID (network name) of the router must contain no quotation marks ("”). The WLAN antenna must be mounted correctly. Please check the following: 3.1 How far is the distance between the router or repeater and FM-Master WLAN? The indicator lamp flashes slow yellow (2 s on / 1 s off) (Meaning: searching for a router within range). Please note that according to the operating manual the maximum range is 80 m. Point the FM-Master or the WLAN antenna in the direction of the router to ensure an optimal connection. 3.2 Why is the FM-Master not connecting to the router, even though I have not exceeded the maximum range? See also 3.10 The indicator lamp flashes slow green or yellow: The range to the router may be near the limit (indicator lamp flashes slow green) or the distance is too great (indicator lamp flashes slow yellow, searching for a router within range). See 3.1 Please note that interference (such as other wireless users, differences in elevation or other obstacles) in the vicinity can weaken the WLAN signal. 1. Reduce distance between FM-Master and router. 2. Use a commercially available repeater 3.3 Are there other strong sources of wireless signals nearby? You may need to change the WLAN channel in the router to a channel with less wireless traffic (please refer to the operating manual for the router).
3.4 Is a repeater being used?
It is possible that the router and repeater are not entirely compatible. 1. Operate the system without a repeater and reduce the distance between the router and FM-Master. 2. Use a different name than the router name for the network name (SSID) of the repeater. 3.5 Does the connection work when the FM-Master is in the immediate vicinity of the router? See 3.1 and 3.2 If not: see 3.10 and 4 3.6 Why can I suddenly no longer control the FM-Master? Please check the following: Is there a natural obstacle that has grown? Have you made structural modifications that could block the signal? Did you conduct a router firmware update? See 3.10, otherwise see 3.2, 3.3 3.7 Why does the FM-Master no longer work after a firmware update? What status does the indicator lamp show? Red: There may have been a problem with the firmware update. Re-execute the firmware update. To do so: 1. Unplug the power plug 2. With the service pin, press the service button and keep it depressed 3. While the service button is pressed, reconnect the FM-Master with the power plug until the indicator lamp is rapidly flashing yellow. You can now repeat the firmware update. If the indicator lamp flashes slow yellow (2 s on / 1 s off): The router was not found. See 3.1 / 3.2 / 3.3 3.8 Why does the firmware update repeatedly fail? Have you connected an EGC cable to additional devices? Please remove the EGC cable for the update process and run it again. If the update aborts once again, unscrew the WLAN antenna and repeat the update procedure. Alternatively, if present you can execute the update using a tablet. 3.9 Which app version is installed? Check whether a new version is available in the App Store/Play Store. If so, please update! 3.10 Why does the FM-Master no longer connect to my router, although it was working before? It is possible that the WLAN 802.11b standard was automatically deactivated during a router firmware update. The 802.11 b standard must be supported. Activate the standard in the router settings. Refer to the router manufacturer's operating manual. Example: FritzBox 7490 / 7390 (firmware version 6.5/6.51)
1 Activate WLAN 802.11b standard 1. Click "WLAN” in the user interface. 2. In the "WLAN” menu, click "Wireless channel”. 3. Activate the option "Configure wireless channel settings”. 4. Click "Additional settings”. 5. In the drop-down list "WLAN-Standard 2.4-GHz” select the standard "802.11n+g+b”. 6. Click "Apply” to save your settings.
Now the WLAN connection will be established. 3.11 Why is the connection interrupted occasionally? The app indicates offline. See 3.1; 3.2 and 3.3 4) How can I reset the FM-Master to the factory settings? 4.1 Reset network settings: Use the service pin to press the service button for 5-8 seconds until the intermittent tone sounds. Afterwards, the network settings will be reset to the factory settings. The FMMaster reboots in Access Point mode with the default password oase1234. Entries in the device library and in the timer are retained. 4.2 Factory reset: Use the service pin to press the service button for about 15 seconds until a continuous tone sounds. Afterwards, the FM-Master will be reset to the condition at the time of delivery. All passwords, entries in the device library and in the timer will be deleted.
5) I forgot my password. How can I connect to the FM-Master? See 4. 6) Why is the device list suddenly deleted? A firmware update has been executed. For an update to a new firmware version number, that is greater than V10.0, the device list will be deleted once. This only occurs if the firmware version was previously lower than V10.0, and it only occurs once. Please add the connected devices again.
7) Why does the device list at specific point suddenly display the characters as encrypted? Please completely reset the FM-Master WLAN once. See point "Resetting to factory settings" in the operating manual, or see above under point 4.2. 8) Why does E003 appear in the display? A firmware update has been executed. Please completely reset the FM-Master WLAN once. See point "Resetting to factory settings" in the operating manual, or see above under point 4.2. 9) Why does the connected pump run at 100% capacity, even though I have set it to 50%? Either the EGC connection (via EGC cable) has been interrupted or the FM-Master WLAN no longer has power. Please restore the EGC connection to the devices or restore the power supply of the FM-Master WLAN. When this has been done the devices will again run with the previously set values. If this setting is not desired, please connect the pumps to the power supply on the FMMaster WLAN. Now if the power on the FM-Master fails the pump will come to a standstill. When the power is flowing again, the pump will again run at the previously set value. 10) Why does the drum filter controller show a negative value in the APP? A total of more than 40000 rinsing processes have been recorded by the drum filter controller. This error will be corrected through a future firmware update. In the future it will be possible to install a ProfiClear update with the FM-Master app.
11) Why can only one AquaMax Eco Expert can be added to the device list and why not several AquaMax Eco Expert pumps 21000/26000? The first generation of the AquaMax Eco Expert pumps with serial numbers ending in 4, 5, or 6 must not be operated together within one system. These devices are not EGC-compatible. One of these pumps can be operated together with other EGC devices. 12) The app does not find my AquaMax Titanium 30000, or it displays incorrect values – why? Drum filters have a serial number with 16 digits. If the number of digit positions 7 to 12 is less than 878, or if an AquaMax Eco Expert or AquaMax Eco Titanium 50000 pump with a serial number ending in 4, 5 or 6 are involved, these devices should be connected as the last EGC product in the system – possibly without terminating resistor.
