FAQ’s What days can we watch Light Up the City? You can watch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of both weekends of the Calgary Stampede. Where are the four quadrant locations?  Elliston Park, SE  Heritage Park and South Glenmore Park, SW  McCall Lake, NE  WinSport – Canada Olympic Park, NW Do I need to go to a viewing location to see the fireworks? No, find your favorite viewing spot in the city. You may be able to see all locations at once. Is there an entrance fee at the quadrant locations? No, the four quadrant locations are free for all Calgarians and visitors. When do the fireworks start and how long do they last? The fireworks show starts between 11:00pm and 11:30pm and last for 12 minutes. Will there be covered area or a building to provide shelter? No, all viewing locations are outdoor facilities. Remember to dress appropriately and prepare for the weather. Will there be seating or bleachers available? No, all locations are grass seating. Please bring blankets or your own lawn chairs/seats for comfort. Where can I park? Parking will be available onsite at WinSport – Canada Olympic Park and Heritage Park. Shuttle buses from Deerfoot Mall will transport you to McCall Lake. Shuttle buses from Calgary Fire Training Site will transport you to Elliston Park. Would the fireworks get cancelled? Yes, if severe weather conditions restrict the safety of our viewers and fireworks operators. Will there be food and drinks to purchase? No, please bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages that you require. Please remember to put your garbage and recycling in the proper waste containers and to leave the grounds clean of any litter. What should I bring? Bring your family, friends and guests. Something comfortable to sit on. Something to eat or drink. Your camera. Weather appropriate clothing.
