These supplies use our RFID system which recognizes automatically the type of ribbon installed in the printer, enhances performance, improves printing quality and activates the ribbon saver feature for cost-per-card reduction. The Evolis ribbon saver feature increases the yield a customer can achieve from one roll of ribbon. Instead of advancing one card length of ribbon for every printed card, the Evolis printer advances just past the actual portion of ribbon that is being used to print on the card. Depending on the card layout, this feature may double and in some cases triple the standard yield of the monochrome ribbon. Thanks to this ribbon saver, the Evolis printer reduces its ribbon consumption, using only the real printed surface.

Monochrome Ribbon Shelf Life: • Up to 1 year after purchase, if stored in a cool, dry environment and having remained unopened from the original packaging. • Storage temperature between 5-25°C (41-77° F) and at RH between 20-85%. • Once opened, lifetime of 6 months if stored under cool, dry conditions. • Avoid dust, direct sunlight, high humidity and high temperatures.
