Commercial-grade power for high-volume multimedia shredding The Formax FD 8850CC Industrial Shredder offers automated features and rugged construction for high-volume centralized shredding of a variety of media. Two separate infeeds offer flexibility. The upper input hopper has a rotating bin to accommodate batches of crumpled paper. Simply dump the waste bin from under your desk directly into the hopper, then turn the handle. The front input slot can accommodate paper, stacks of continuous computer paper, credit cards, CDs/DVDs, computer disks, and USB flash drives. In addition, a convenient shelf pulls out to allow for easier feeding. Standard features include an LED control panel and user-friendly features such as Auto Start/Stop and Auto Reverse to clear paper jams. Its mobile waste bin on casters and reusable bag make emptying the shredder a breeze. With an AC-geared motor and chain drive, it has the power to shred up to 80 sheets of paper at once, into Level 3 shred particles 1/8” x 2”. The EvenFlow™ Automatic Oiling System lubricates the cutting blades, helping to keep the shredder in peak operating condition. The Formax 8850CC Industrial Shredder has the power to shred stacks of computer forms, crumpled paper, CDs, credit cards and even USB thumb drives. This cross-cut model shreds up to 80 sheets in one pass and operates at a speed of up to 46 feet per minute. Shred particle size of 1/8” x 2” meets NSA/CSS standards for Level 3 security.
Two Infeed Options Two separate infeeds provide a choice for operators. The easy-to-use upper hopper has a rotating bin which helps users to quickly and safely feed crumpled paper, even while the shredder is running.
Easy-to-use control panel and lockable on-off switch
A standard front infeed slot easily accommodates other materials, and the fold-out loading shelf allows for easier feeding.
User-Friendly Features LED indicators notify operators when the waste bin is full or the cabinet door is open. Operators can select from two modes of operation: Auto Start/Stop or Manual. Auto Start/Stop mode utilizes optical sensors which detect paper and start/stop operation automatically. Manual mode provides non-stop operation. Fold-out shelf makes feeding easier
Easy to Maintain The FD 8850CC features a mobile waste bin on casters, which allows for easier emptying. Keeping the shredder in top condition is easy to do, simply by pressing the reverse button which clears the blades of shredding debris. Plus, the EvenFlow™ Automatic Oiling System lubricates the cutting blades, helping to keep the shredder in peak condition for optimal efficiency.
Designed for Safety Safety is an important component in the FD 8850CC design and engineering. A large safety button is conveniently located in the front and will shut down the shredder instantly when pressed. The main power switch can also be secured with a padlock to ensure the shredder is operated only by authorized staff.
