Performance Equipped with next-generation end-to-end 6 Gb/s SAS architecture and dual I/O modules, HeritageXA EBODs enable you to meet the capacity and performance requirements for a wide range of applications including file, database, streaming video, online transaction processing (OLTP), and active archive. Maximize performance by connecting to LSI 6 Gb/s RAID controllers and achieve up to 14.4 GB/s performance.

Features such as two-digit front-panel shelf ID, activity and status indicators for all key components, mutable audible alarms, and lockable carriers provide local system monitoring. SES 2.0 technology allows for advanced platform management and failure notifications when connected to compatible RAID controllers. Enclosure components and drive status can be monitored through the controller management interface and administrators can be notified of system events via email.

Through its intelligent Genesis Enclosure Management (GEM), HeritageXA safeguards data and ensures maximum availability. Users are able to leverage fault diagnosis and resolution capabilities, persistent error logging and monitoring. The SBB 2.0 I/O modules and power supplies are hot swappable and interchangeable across all models simplifying system maintenance.
Green Power Efficiency HeritageXA minimizes environmental impact through new “green” advancements in Xyratex technology, including individual drive power control, advanced adaptive cooling technology, and 80+ percent efficient power conversion. Additionally, HeritageXA is designed to meet stringent worldwide requirements for recycling and environmental friendliness.
Configurations HeritageXA EBODs are available in 12 and 24 bay 3.5” drive and 24 bay 2.5” drive models with dual I/O modules and are expandable to 144 drives. Partially populated models allow you purchase what you need today and increase capacity inexpensively as your requirements grow. Flexible enclosure technology allows you to mix drive types in a single configuration.
