The fi-5530C2 is a workgroup A3 capable scanner with 100 sheet capacity ADF and foldaway output tray that is ideal for un-attended scanning of multipage documents and batches and can scan any paper size from A8 to A3. Bundled with an impressive array of software the compact fi-5530C2 is perfectly suited to a wide variety of organisations. The compact fi-5530C2 measures only 399 x 225 x 193 mm (W x D x H) and can handle a typical duty cycle of up to 5,000 documents per day. It scans at speeds up to 50 ppm / 100 ipm (A4 landscape, 200 dpi) or 35 ppm / 70 ipm (A4 portrait, 200 dpi) and features dual colour CCDs with true, 600 dpi optical resolution and the output resolution can be increased to 1,200 dpi. The fi-5530C2 is equipped with ultrasonic double-feed detection sensors for unattended batch scanning which ensures that every single document page is reliably captured. Even document batches of up to 100 differently sized sheets ranging from A8 to A3 can be processed and with the image enhancement capabilities provided with VRS and the advanced features included with ScandAll PRO V2 Premium, the image quality of every single document will be stunning. The fi-5530C2 combines excellent handling performance with improved content control, delivering exceptional scanning results at an amazing value. Bundled with the fi-5530C2 are full versions of ScandAll PRO V2 Premium and VRS Professional. The advanced technology in VRS Professional literally cleans up scanned images for post scan processing, which in turn makes for a huge improvement in the accuracy from your OCR and ICR software. VRS increases productivity, efficiency and in time sees a greater return for your scanning investment.
ScandAll PRO V2 Premium image capture software effectively enables the scanner to efficiently binarise scanned data prior to transmission and is a unique and fully featured professional capture client that allows the scanner to be driven through either TWAIN or ISIS or the combination of ISIS and VRS drivers. ScandAll PRO V2 also contains the ability to create searchable PDF files through the onboard OCR functionality and, furthermore it includes patch code and bar code recognition modules including the use of 2D barcodes (matrix codes) for automated job separation during batch scanning routines. A powerful function that will prove its value in daily use is the capability of ScandAll PRO V2 to simultaneously create multiple image files from a single paper document, where both image files can differ significantly in their characteristics (such as resolution, colour mode, file format, static data, storage location or the retrievable text information that is embedded). The fi-5530C2 comes newly armed with a centralized administration feature that system administrators can use to manage the installation and operation of multiple image scanners and network scanners from one location. Monitor scanner running status, update scanner drivers and software and more with this powerful feature. This dramatically reduces the cost and work that goes into setting up, operating and maintaining many scanners in an organization and in expanding the scanner network to multiple remote locations.
