THE BASIC SOLUTION: FCE-SINGLEZONE™
FCE APPLICATIONS SAMPLES:
ABonAir’s innovative solution is widely used in live events with complex wireless requirements where the antennas are positioned anywhere from a few meters to up to15 km from the Receiver. The FCE enables the installation of the Receiver at the control center or the OB truck, far from the antenna array positioned on the field. This configuration totally upends typical configuration settings where the Receiver must be close to the antennas. The Receiver is connected to the FCE via a fiber-optic cable located in the field. The FCE can be connected to multiple antennas using a short RF cable that enables placing the Receiver up to 15 kilometers away from the FCE & Antennas in a mobile production truck, OB van or control room. The fiber connectivity configuration between the FCE is full duplex, enabling the system to maintain support over its entire features set: video, audio, camera control unit (CCU), intercom, IFB, and more.
• Large Sport Stadiums (Major League and University Stadiums) Imagine a large football stadium with 100,000 seats. The control room is far from the field and, in addition to the game, you must cover the concession area, the dressing rooms and the tunnel. The antennas are placed in several locations distant from each other and far from the control room. Installing a few FCEMutiZone™ units, connected by fiber to the control room or to each other, will easily solve the problem and enable excellent coverage of all areas with seamless roaming between them without losing a single pixel.
THE EXPANDED SOLUTION: FCE-MULTIZONE™ This revolutionary technology enables the coverage of live events on dispersed locations found on one large venue like university campus. Each zone is covered by an FCE, and all are connected to a main single Receiver. With Multizone™ FCEs, it is easy to extend the coverage almost endlessly. Roaming from one coverage zone to another is remarkably seamless without losing a pixel! The Multizone™ solution can be deployed in two topologies based on the venue requirements; Daisy Chain or Star or any combination of the two. The Multizone™ solution comes in a simple plug-and-play setup with an automatic configuration where the main Receiver identifies the chosen topology and adapts accordingly.

• News and DSNG When covering news with an OB van there is often a need to place the antennas far from the van, on higher ground or inside a building. For this situation, the FCE-SingleZone™ is the best solution, with a battery-powered FCE and an easy fiber cable deployment. • Race Track Events (Horse, Car Racing, Golf) The FCE- Multizone™ is a perfect fit for horse racing tracks. The Fiber Coverage Extenders can be placed at the stable for shots showing the horses prior to the race, followed by live nerve racking moments from the race track where a second FCE is placed, and last at the winning circle where the proud owner, the jockey and horse are led on their walk of fame. The entire race can be seamlessly covered, moving from one location to another, and all with one Receiver and two or three FCEs. • Universities & Sports American universities are well known for their basketball, football, hockey, lacrosse, soccer and other teams. With the AB-MultiZone™ solution any university can have the capability to cover all sports events in the various stadiums and rinks using a single system and a single control room that serves all sites. With the Receiver placed in the main control room and a single FCE per stadium, the university can deploy a simple and affordable broadcast setup for all their games and capture special moments of their athletics.
