LinkAlert™ Because most Ethernet technologies are unable to recognize downlink faults, a failed link may appear normal to network management; requiring unnecessary time devoted to troubleshooting. LinkAlert monitors all physical uplink and downlink failures and enables all faults to be detected by network management.
N-Way Auto-Negotiation Only Transition Networks guarantees compatibility with any 10/100-compliant port. "I’m not interested in a chassis platform—I’m looking to place stand-alone converters at the point of conversion." Each and every one of the converters available on the Conversion Center is available in a stand-alone form factor. If, at a later point, you’d like to mount these converters in a wiring closet, a 12-slot rack with a single universal power supply is also available. Or, mount single converters anywhere needed with our wall mount brackets.

Point at which Copper and Fiber Meet A single Conversion Center™ PS cabinet supports up to eighteen unique slots. Point System can be installed fully configured, or can grow with your needs as your network expands. With our own staff of ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) engineers, we design in the features needed for specific conversion requirements. Teaming these ASICS with flexible micro-controllers allows for programmable on-board memory. As a result, Point System can be upgraded in the field. Media conversion has gone beyond the general premise data market, and into home, industrial and voice environments. That’s why Point System will offer advanced certifications such as FCC Class A and B, EN 55022 Class A and B, as well as NEBS Level 3.

Advanced certification Network Equipment Building System Point System has been built to meet NEBS (Network Equipment Building System) requirements. NEBS is a major test of quality that is extremely valuable for any organization supplying or purchasing network equipment. There are three levels of NEBS approvals. electromagnetic signals allowed from electronics in homes and multi-tenant dwellings. It is more stringent than the Class A certifications required of most electronics. Point System has been tested to meet all requirements of Class A & B.

Focal Point Management Sof Transition Networks enhanced management software allows customers to monitor, configure, and control their media converters using SNMP management. The Point System’s design allows a network administrator to connect up to 8 chassis utilizing one primary management card and the necessary expansion cards. Add another primary card and the stack now has redundant management capabilities in the rare event of a management module failure.
