The SC connector features a 2.5mm Zirconia Ceramic ferrule and a push/pull coupling mechanism for a fast and reliable connection.
APC with green boots and for multimode PC with red or black boots suitable for 900µm, 2mm or 3mm cable diameters.
A range of pigtail, simplex and duplex SC connectors are manufactured including Standard, Premium Low Loss and High Performance Grades which are suitable for various applications.
The SC/APC connector is available with a pre-angled ferrule designed for 8 degree angle polishing.

The LC connector features a 1.25mm Zirconia ferrule in a small form factor (SFF) fibre optic connector housing with a snag free latch which gives an audible click upon engaging for reliable and high density connections. A range of pigtail, simplex and duplex LC connectors are manufactured including Standard, Premium Low Loss and High Performance Grades which are suitable for various applications. The LC connectors are available for singlemode UPC with white or blue

The Optronics Video Fibre Inspection Probe (OPT-VFIP) is the perfect tool for ensuring that fibre optic connector end faces are clean and clear from dirt and contamination; the number one cause of network failure. The lightweight, compact probe fits comfortably in the palm of the hand or can be strapped on to your wrist and with single-handed focusing it is easy to establish a clear, sharp image of the connector end face. The probe uses coaxial illumination to show a greater level of detail with an optical resolution of 0.75 µm. This requires an OTDR that can accurately locate and measure closely spaced events on high speed networks. The M310 has the short dead zones required to test these networks. The large number of cable runs in modern enterprise networks and data centers, requires automated detection and measurement of all events in each cable. The M310 provides accurate and reliable event analysis for these critical networks. The M310’s Enhanced Event Analysis software is a product of extensive research into the properties of fibre optic cable events and provides a new level of accuracy and reliability in field test equipment. The M310 OTDR operates at 850nm and 1300nm multimode and 1310nm and 1550nm single mode and is optimized for testing, analyzing and troubleshooting enterprise, data center, LAN/WAN, campus and military fibre networks Rugged, lightweight and easy to hold, the M310 has a Touch and Test user interface that makes it easy for experts and novices to test and document fibre networks accurately and quickly. Micro Sticks Micro fibre sticks are the ideal consumable for cleaning 1.25mm bulkheads after installation. They can be used to clean the end faces of installed connectors, from inside the enclosure. Cleaning is achieved by inserting the micro fibre tip inside the adapter’s aperture and twisting once. The micro fibre material allows the user to clean installed connector end faces without scratching the surface, and ensures a perfect clean first time

Foam buds are the ideal consumable for cleaning bulkheads after installation. They are used to clean the end faces of installed connectors, from inside the enclosure. The snug fit from the foam head will also remove any contaminants found inside the adapter.

Connector Performance FibreFab connectors and adaptors are subjected to reliability and performance testing in a programme including type approval and continuous monitoring. When terminated using best practices, typical optical performance meets or exceeds the stated performance and will meet appropriate standards including IEC 61755-3-1/2, ISO/IEC 11801 and TIA/EIA 598. Production quality control procedures monitor all critical parameters including ferrule OD, ID, roundness and concentricity. A unique, in-house developed concentricity test set is used to inspect ferrules and terminated assemblies. Our products conform to LSZH, OFNR and OFNP material classifications and to the material requirements of the RoHS directive and REACH SvHC regulations.

Terminated connectors are tested for insertion loss (master lead/ random mating) and reflection loss which follows the IEC 61300-3-4/34 and IEC 61300-3-6 standards. FibreFab has developed a proprietary random mating simulation tool which gives a strong insight into the complex interaction between the factors including ferrule and fibre dimensions, end face geometry, polish surface finish and axial contact force for the master lead test and the random mating test. The random mating tests gives a good indication about the average test results and the worst case performance results which depend on the above factors.
