The FieldServer Kohler Adapter for LONWORKS® is a protocol translator/gateway enabling the Kohler Generator Controller to communicate with LONWORKS® devices and networks. The FieldServer will connect the Kohler to a LONWORKS® network through the MOdbus RTU protocol. The FieldServer allows status points to be read and the generator to be enabled to the LONWORKS® network. The Adapter is connected to the LONWORKS® Network by being commissioned into the network using a Network Management tool (i.e.: LonMaker or equivalent package). For a full list of points available via the Kohler Adapter for LONWORKS® please refer to the Adapter Manual or contact FieldServer Technologies. The FieldServer Gateway is capable of providing an interface to the other devices well. In a single, comprehensive package the FieldServer provides the hardware and software necessary for the translation. In addition to the LONWORKS® connector and the serial port, the FS-B2011 includes an Ethernet (10baseT) connector. Configuration files can be downloaded via the serial or Ethernet port. All the necessary software and instructions for configuration are provided with the FieldServer. FieldServer Technologies also offers fee based configuration services. Other FieldServers are available for other fieldbuses for multiple port applications
